  It is a little more "shiny" compared to other satin varnishes I have used, but it gives very good results and a durable surface. I usually apply 2 or maybe even 3 coats for greater durability. Prefer to apply as thin layers as possible. It dries fairly quickly.

  I primed - painted with chalk paint with perfect results, but when I applied the varnish, my brush left small particles <bits>. I had to sand it again, of course, without applying the varnish.
  Now, either the varnish was defective or I had to strain it

  Very good. I used the varnish on top of another brand's chalk paint. I believe it protects it better than wax-varnish, that's the feeling it gives me. The bookcase is twenty years old, I painted it and I wanted a varnish that I wouldn't be afraid of scratching the paint with putting on and taking off boxes, plastic, containers. I applied it once and it sealed it.
