    The sampling rate at which measurements are taken is quite slow, if you want to cook with accuracy, you won't be able to achieve it with this thermometer as there is a difference of about 20 seconds between each measurement. I can't know its accuracy for sure, but when I tried to measure the temperature of oil in the pan, at temperatures close to 180, its screen starts to become unreadable.
