I have no reason not to give 5 stars to the online product. Very good graphics, quite enjoyable, not tiring. And I found it at a very good price. Simple, affordable, and nice.
I only have an opinion from the game's campaign... It's good, it has nice sound and graphics, but I think it's smaller and less than WW2. The game must be about three hours long. Now, for someone who will also engage in online play, it might be worth it. It's a lot of money, around 40-45€, that it costs now.
The worst COD for the past 10 years. Where do I even begin and end? Is it the fact that Activision spit in the face of all the old fans? Is it that the game didn't bring anything new? Truly, the gunsmith, movement, sound, and style are the same as Modern Warfare 2019. Furthermore, you can't even classify it as a WWII game. Initially, the game chose to go woke to be socially acceptable, but all they managed to do was insult anyone with an IQ higher than the room. Half of the operators are women, and in the campaign, the almost protagonist is black. A black person in World War II in Europe and 6 women, yes... The bad doesn't stop there, as the zombies took the lead for the most rushed and contentless when the game was released (a mediocre map at the beginning of the game). The multiplayer is mediocre, as the only good thing it did was copy the gunsmith from Modern Warfare. The final camos are nothing special, and the game seems to be designed for leveling up weapons for Warzone. Now, anyone thinking of getting it, I recommend waiting for a sale in the store.
Edit: After 6 months, the game remains the biggest failure of a AAA company.
This game simply has no reason to exist. It is a rushed product, made by people who simply do not care about the quality of their games and release the same standardized formula every year. I forgave Modern Warfare and Cold War because they brought something new or fixed old problems respectively, but this does nothing and actually becomes worse in many aspects.
The Campaign is very short, with a boring story and characters. The Level Design is terrible and whatever abilities the characters have are simply designed for specific situations and missions.
The Multiplayer is just a copy-paste of all previous COD games, without the SLIGHTEST change. If you play Modern Warfare or Cold War, you will have exactly the same experience, not to mention better. Time to kill is very short, visibility is awful, and sound design is lacking.
In zombies, Treyarch simply threw away everything good they did in Cold War, creating such a repetitive experience that even the biggest fan will get bored after 5-6 games. Also, it didn't have an easter egg until they added it now in December, and it doesn't even have wonder weapons, NOT EVEN THE RAYGUN!
I won't even start on the "historical accuracy," the only thing I have to say is that it is unacceptable and approaches the limits of imagination...
The only reason I give it 2 stars is because it doesn't have bugs.
Having played several chapters of the series and as a fan, I decided to try the new multiplayer of Call of Duty Vanguard.
Initially, the first contact with the multiplayer leaves a Battlefield feeling, like the latest games in the series, which personally I don't like. The new architecture of the maps, which are labyrinthine and each part has multiple open fronts, does not fit in the CoD series. Additionally, several maps are poorly designed, which not only ruins the overall experience but also doesn't make any map memorable. The "best" part is that now all weapons have a lot of recoil, making it difficult for the player to hit an enemy who is far away. Furthermore, the theoretically known weapon balances that should exist are absent... SMGs are by far the strongest weapons, assault rifles have high recoil, snipers need a shot to be from the neck and above to be a one-shot, and various other such inaccuracies. To somewhat balance things, weapons need to be unlocked at higher levels. This shouldn't be happening! In traditional CoD games, anyone could use weapons available from the first levels, but now I don't think many people will do that(!)
At some point, I noticed that bullets run out quickly. So, I went to the perks to see if the familiar scavenger perk is available. And to my surprise, I see that this perk becomes available at level 47. Instead of having some important perks available from the first levels, there are others that under different circumstances literally no one would use, and they don't fit the style of the series. Finally, there is a serious problem with spawning. There were times when I shot an enemy and at that moment two others spawned in front of him, and that's the least of it. There were many times when the game spawned me in the middle of an enemy team.
As you can understand, the multiplayer of the game is at least bad (I have no opinion on the campaign and zombies, but according to what I've heard, they remain stagnant without evolving). The only thing I liked about the game is the sounds and textures, but there are many bugs and significant instabilities. The only solution for CoD to not go downhill from now on (Vanguard has 40% fewer sales compared to last year's CoD) is to stop their annual releases so that they can pay more attention during their creation. Unfortunately, based on current data, I see no reason for anyone to buy Vanguard, especially at this price, no matter how much they like CoD. At a price drop of around 25-30€, it might be worth it. If you want a good CoD, prefer the 2019 Modern Warfare, personally I consider it the best in recent years. It costs 35€ on the PS Store with Black Friday discounts (Modern Warfare).
