Very good running shoes, I would say versatile, as they work well for both low and higher (medium-high, to be precise) speeds. From about 6:30 to 3:45, they are wonderful. I have done recovery, easy, tempo, and fartlek runs, and they were great for all of them. Always at distances up to 15 km (I am also a heavier runner), they could also be a racing shoe because they have sufficient responsiveness. The shoe is not everything, but what a shoe should have, the Rincon seems to offer it in abundance.
For me, the positive is the drop at 5 millimeters, which helps those who run with the forefoot or more towards the front of the foot, instead of the heels.
For walking, I would NOT recommend them; they cause me a bit of pronation whenever I wear them (only when walking). It seems that the upper part of the shoe is to blame for not locking the foot perfectly. I mention this because the outsole, midsole, etc., are the same as the Rincon 2, and I did not have this problem there (I still wear them for walking, and they are excellent).
If you want a relatively soft shoe, a daily trainer with good responsiveness and enough cushioning, the Rincon is a very good solution for its price. However, if you happen to find the Rincon 2 in your size, I would recommend getting that one instead.

I have been wearing Hoka shoes since 2014 when very few people in Greece knew about them. They were excellent (I started with the Clifton 1, 2, etc.), and I also recently used the Stinson and Bondie models (I have run 15 marathons in Europe with Hoka). However, since 2020, I have been disappointed with their quality and durability. Specifically, in the Bondie 7, after 50 days of use (400km), both shoes tore apart as if they had been cut with a knife. And the climax was when I recently got the Rincon 3, which after about 30 workouts (on asphalt, tartan, grass), the soles in the heel area of both shoes got holes in the exact same spot, causing my foot to come into contact with the ground. Similar experiences regarding the construction quality have been reported by other athletes for these specific models. Unfortunately, I consider it unlikely that I will trust this brand of shoes again in the future.

I have narrow feet and I take size 40 usually. These shoes are extremely tight for my size 40. I went up for 40 and 2/3 and I still feel like I should have went to 41. Take one size bigger!
Now for the main issue, I have narrow feet and I usually take narrow shoes. These ones are more than narrow, it feels tight on the leg and I feel like blood is being pressured on my foot, and this is for only daily use!!! Used for one week now. The impressions are after 1000 km of running on asphalt and open terrain with two pairs of the Wide version of this model (the first pair lasted 600 km and I am at 400 km with the second pair). I will mention some basic characteristics because I see many people posting negative reviews mainly because they did not know what shoe they bought.
First, it has a very narrow fit in the front, like almost all Hokas. Fortunately, this specific model also comes in a Wide version, which is a game-changer for anyone with wide feet. Even for regular feet, I recommend the Wide version for anyone planning to use it for several hours of continuous running or walking.
Second, neither the sole, nor the fabric upper, nor the insole provide any kind of support. It requires a completely neutral foot strike and will not suit someone who needs guidance/support in their stride. For anyone who wants a little more cushioning, I recommend changing the insole to a regular thickness (I switched between Clifton and Rincon) or changing it to an orthopedic type for anyone who needs support in the arch or heel.
Third, the main sole is a simple low-density EVA foam, a large part of which is exposed, as the rubber used in the outer sole is relatively limited. Do not expect it to last more than 500-600 km.
All of the above are somehow necessary in order to keep the cost and weight as low as possible, so that you can have a shoe that weighs only 220g for under €100 and can be used comfortably in training sessions that require very fast paces, but also has enough cushioning for distances even longer than a marathon.
For anyone who knows what they are buying, it is a 5-star shoe.

It is a daily trainer with EVA foam without any extra technology. It has a 4mm drop and a meta rocker design that helps you increase your pace. The standout feature is its low weight, around 200g in size 43.
The fit is narrow, so for someone with a wider foot, they should look elsewhere. The durability is average overall. After 300 kilometers, the foam becomes harder compared to when I bought it.
In conclusion, for someone who wants a versatile daily trainer (slow pace, tempo, faster pace) to wear for about 20km per week but also has other shoes to switch depending on the training, is lightweight, and has a narrower fit, then the Rincon for €90 is a very good choice. If you want it for any other use, such as long runs, walking, standing, races, etc., it is not suitable at all. Hoka has other solutions (Clifton for walking and standing, Rocket X for races, or the Mach 5 for those who want a shoe like the Rincon but with a firmer feel to better sense the ground and have better quality)

First time in Hoka and my impressions are very good. Super lightweight, ideal for running, feels like stepping on a cushion. I run 5-10 km daily on asphalt and they are very comfortable. I give it 2 and a half stars for everyday use and not for running.
I have had them for a few months and I wear them frequently in the city. They have formed this dent in the front (on both shoes) that you can see in the photos, which in turn hits my big toe. I don't have any particular foot shape (e.g. wide feet) to say that it's my foot's fault. On the contrary, the rest fits normally in the shoe. Also, after about 40 minutes of standing, my heel hurts and my whole foot feels uncomfortable. It's very lightweight but I don't recommend it for everyday use.
