Review this product
  • By far the best paper for black and white charcoal! The tooth accepts multiple layers. In the final result, the paper magically adds a 3D effect, which means depth and nice contrasts at the same time! If you are used to smooth paper surfaces, the texture may not appeal to you, but you don't know what you're missing if you don't give it a chance. It is 220gsm but feels like 300gsm in thickness, so it definitely works well with watercolors or water-soluble pencils! Having tried all the Canson drawing papers, this is my favorite because the final result is as beautiful as what only the best cotton papers can achieve!

P.S. The same paper is also sold in a natural color, which is similar to cream. This one is more versatile because, besides charcoal, you can work with Red chalk (Sanguine), which always looks better on cream-toned paper! As for anything else, it applies the same as the gray version, as the only difference is the color.
