In induction cooktops, the cooking surface heats only under the cookware, using less than half the energy compared to standard cooktops. Visually, the induction cooktop looks very similar to the ceramic one, but it uses electromagnetism instead of electricity. For this reason, special cookware with a magnetic base is required.
