I got it from M-Systems for Christmas at 350, good screen BUT WHEN AFTER ONE AND A HALF MONTH OF OPERATION YOU SEE A DEAD PIXEL, WELL GOODBYE, it will stay as a second screen when I get an OLED!!
The worst purchase I have ever made!
I bought it in September for gaming on PS5. Everything seemed fine. After 2 weeks, it developed a dead pixel and the screen would restart by itself at regular intervals. To the point where you might not be able to sit at the screen for about 20 minutes due to the restarts.
I informed Gigabyte, sent it back (to the Netherlands) and they told me they changed the panel and the motherboard. Indeed, when I received it, there was no dead pixel, however, after 2 days the restarts started again. You can't work, you can't play.
Gigabyte suggested sending me a new screen, I sent the old one back and received a new one. 2 days later, the restarts started again. I have been struggling for over 2 months and I don't have a screen. I will request a refund and look for another one.
Update 2:
When the screen returned, it was broken, just like when it left, and without any repairs, the display port was not working at all. The computer did not recognize it. Additionally, I noticed a fourth stuck pixel. So, the screen is sent back again the next day. Gigabyte kept it for 2.5 months and I kept bothering the store, asking them through email. On the third attempt, the next day I receive a response for a replacement. They reject my request to get a different one with more money from the store and proceed with replacing the same one. The courier arrives at home and brings the exact same one that I had before, with the 4 pixels still stuck and just the display port fixed. Furthermore, out of the many times it was shipped, the packaging was poorly done and in the two corners, backlight bleed had started, possibly due to pressure. After this, I sent it back to the store and I am waiting for a refund. €530. Since the beginning of January, it has not stayed a whole month at home... Finally, both times it returned from the "service," it was completely dirty from greasy hands and had a smudge on the side of the screen from holding. See photo.
Update:
Gigabyte responded to the store that it is not covered by the warranty unless there are 4 or more stuck pixels or 6 or more burnt pixels. As a result, the screen will be returned to me as it left because it is not considered damaged enough.
Unfortunately, there are 3 stuck pixels. Now I will wait to see how the replacement will be. In the default settings, the colors appear quite washed out and the brightness is low. With adjustment, they can be somewhere that satisfies everyone. Decent build materials. On another note, it has a nice setting where the indicator light is permanently off, so when it goes into standby, it does not blink to bother, although it will probably burn more when it is off. However, the button is not very convenient because it is relatively high from the bottom of the screen and I, who have a second monitor on the right, have to press it from below.
The reason I am giving a bad review is because practically the screen worked for only one week and gigabyte support did not fix it for me.
Specifically, from the first day, the screen would flicker randomly about 2-3 times per hour. I used it for about a week when I was working remotely for health reasons, and then it just stayed idle for months. When I tried to work from home again, the screen wouldn't turn on. It didn't even display the menu, and my computers (Linux with HDMI and Mac with USB-C) would detect it for 1 second and then lose connection. It was like it was constantly connecting and disconnecting. I should note that it was connected to a UPS.
Gigabyte sent me a form to fill out for an RMA to have it picked up and repaired. I even had to send photos of the packaging, both open and closed, for approval, which I naturally did (I also uploaded them here). I also put a fragile sticker on it.
As you can see in the photo that I also uploaded here, the shipping company destroyed it and broke the screen. Now gigabyte says they can't repair it because I am responsible for the damage and that the packaging was not done correctly (the packaging they approved..) and UPS says I didn't pay for insurance for the transportation.
Conclusion? 500 euros wasted..
Honest Gigabyte monitor has it all, for PS5 use it is very powerful, it has all the necessary features like HDMI 2.1, VRR. Nice picture and obviously response time for gaming. The HDR Many reviews say it's meh... Personally, I don't use it much, so I can't say for sure.
I got it for the Xbox Series X 4K HDR 120 FPS HDMI 2.1 obviously to play on those... The ultimate monitor to take advantage of all the console's capabilities... It has many options, so you have to find what suits you best... It has built-in speakers for normal use... If you want better sound, you can use external speakers or headphones, but I still find them decent... Top-notch monitor!!!
I have it very good on my PS5, it supports 4K 120Hz with very nice image quality and maybe later I'll also get a PC. It also has built-in speakers, although they're not top-notch, but they're there.
Excellent choice for someone who has an Xbox Series X or Playstation 5 and wants 4k at 120fps.
I think it is the cheapest 4k gaming monitor with hdmi 2.1.
It is the best I have seen so far on a monitor.
