My opinion is that for home use it is just what you need so that you don't have to run to print whatever you need. I have it permanently activated, in 5 minutes it goes into sleep mode and it consumes almost no power. It is also good for those who have it not to turn it off for a long period of time because it is not good for its lifespan. It took me a little while to set it up and activate the instalink service, and I know from experience that it will be even more difficult for someone who doesn't know how to do it. When I activated insta link, they sent me a welcome kit directly and I have 6 months of free ink with 50 pages per month because that's what I need, everyone has their own needs, and the more pages you print, the more expensive the subscription will be. Through the application, it shows you the amount of ink and when it is about to run out, they automatically send it to the address you have provided (only for insta link services). I have connected it to my mobile phone, PC, and iPad, so whenever I need it, since it is permanently in sleep mode, it prints directly and you are ready. The quality of the photocopies, both color and black and white, is very good as well.
I had difficulty with the setup for the free ink. The printer COMES with ink (something I didn't know) and doesn't need a cable for the computer to detect it (which is very helpful as it avoids cable clutter). The user manual and the information inside the box are available in multiple languages, which is extremely helpful compared to other products that only have two available languages and are not helpful at all. The prints are very nice, although it doesn't print quickly, it is satisfactory. I did some test prints and used the scanner to see how it works, so the true opinion will be revealed after some time.
Edit: I have lost faith in the printer. It cuts A4 papers in letter format (even though A4 was selected), the ink (the free one) doesn't produce any ink at all, and there are a bunch of issues that I can't even fit into a bachelor's presentation. I don't know if it's defective, but the HP customer service is terrible. Half of them say that it doesn't support A4, the other half say it's my internet's fault, and the other half say it's the power that keeps cutting off. The free ink subscription ended and I stopped dealing with it. I chased them for 4 months for help and each one just wanted to get rid of me because I wanted to find justice. I simply gave up and now it only does its job correctly whenever it wants.
My final opinion is that it is a very budget printer for simple tasks that a household needs. If I had the financial means, I would choose Canon printers, as they are more high-quality and more "professional" in certain aspects.
Isn't it better to save some money and get a laser printer, even if you have to buy ink and refill it yourself? After the second refill, you need new ink

This is a decent and user-friendly home multifunction device. Its prints are of high quality, whether they are documents or photos. Not practical at all. To print something, you absolutely need to have internet. If you want to print something from a computer, you have to upload it to the HP app, open your phone, and print it from there. Logic zero.

The worst thing I have ever bought, the most annoying machine, if they did it on purpose they wouldn't have managed to make such an annoying printer. The software is terrible, it constantly malfunctions, it prints whenever it wants, they put you in a loop to subscribe for ink. The inks are the worst, I bought a black HP, I didn't make any prints and after a month the level had dropped to zero. They don't have ink inside, they have a sample of ink. I have a printer, paper, and I end up going outside to print. I don't know if all printers in this price range are this bad, but I'm seriously considering throwing it away and getting another one, like a Canon, to see if all of them in this price range are this terrible
As a printer, it prints just fine. HOWEVER, THE APPLICATION IS THE WORST THING EVER!!!! I had an older HP printer and had problems with connectivity to the computer. Since it broke, I bought HP again because I never had printing issues, only operational ones. Well, I thought they must have fixed it in the new ones after all these years. It's 2024. BUT NO! Its operating system is THE WORST out there. It constantly malfunctions, desynchronizes with the router, and needs to be reinstalled from scratch every time, which makes it difficult for you. Either the application will have issues as an application. You want to suddenly get your work done and you can't. Especially if you're in a hurry, good luck with that. Honestly, I will NEVER buy HP AGAIN! No product of theirs basically, because if they can't fix such a simple machine properly, imagine the chaos in the others. NEVER AGAIN HP!!!!!
Honestly, 1 star. I could give it zero if I could! Because what good is it if it prints correctly and with quality if I can't operate it!
I bought the printer 6 months ago and signed up for instant ink. A week ago, the fiber optic line was cut, and I am without internet and without a printer, since it connects via wifi. I called HP's technical support, and they told me there was no problem, to connect it with a cable, I did that, it printed 10 pages and then stopped. I called them again, and they told me that my colleague mistakenly told me to connect it with a cable and tried to connect it to my mobile hotspot, which was also not feasible in the end. When I bought it and they informed me about instant ink, they told me that I could take it to my vacation home where I don't have internet, to work with a cable, and when I return to my main place, it would connect via wifi and continue the instant ink program normally... SO BEWARE! When you sign up for instant ink and do not have internet, you will not have a printer... AND, it is not possible to unregister from instant ink and operate with a USB connection... once a wireless connection is registered, it cannot be changed... UPDATE after 7 months of use: the wifi disconnects with every printing attempt, they told me they would send me another one since it is under warranty, but it is not feasible to send me another model that works with a cable... Also, they have now clarified to me that whether someone signs up for instant ink or not, THIS PRINTER ONLY WORKS WITH WiFi... very bitter...
For its price, it is good. The inks are just small and run out quickly; one solution is the aftermarket ones with double capacity

First of all, I want to say that the inks they claim are included in the box are empty... what I mean is, they have only put them in there for <Alignment-Adjustment>... which means they are enough for 2 prints... after that, they send you other inks... (for me, it's a scam... they should have included inks with a normal amount for printing from the start... okay, I got it, I installed it, and now I will wait 1-3 business days to receive the inks and be able to use it... that was one negative... other than that, for now, it prints nicely... of course, I don't have a complete opinion yet... I will make a new comment about the prints once the inks arrive...
So and so, it generally takes a long time, and it resets itself if you haven't used it for a while, resulting in having to set it up from scratch.

After 1-2 months of inactivity, it stopped printing while the inks are full. Also, the app with the subscription does not send any inks as it says it is not needed.

I don't know if it just happened to me, but even though I followed all the installation steps, when it prompted me to insert the ink, I did so and it simply didn't recognize it. I took it to a technician who specializes in printers and he couldn't figure it out either; he told me to take it to a technician who specializes in computers because it is obviously some kind of software issue with the printer. After all this, I haven't taken it to a technician yet; I have left it sitting aside. I do not recommend it for someone who wants to buy it to get their work done immediately

This printer is just easy and intuitive. Even if it's set to off, it will automatically turn on if I send something to print. So happy to be able to print simple but important documents last minute without having to run to the print shop. I'm a freelancer and sometimes you just don't know when you have to print something. This machine has already fixed a few headaches for me and I've only had it for a month.
Also, I had a mini campaign and was able to print 300 envelopes for my marketing and they printed with great quality at respectable speed.
It is worth more than its price, very easy to use especially if you download the app on your phone. Yes, you will need to create an account but it is very convenient.
