The kitchen table by Homemarkt is made of particleboard (chipboard), a wood derivative made from small pieces of wood and sawdust. Externally, it features a melamine coating, which offers resistance to scratches, abrasion, and corrosives.

The holes in two legs were in the wrong place, and the instructions were very difficult to understand. I struggled a lot. And it doesn't have simple screws; it has those that the head snaps into a flatter little part that turns and "snaps" them into place. If you know about such things, you should be fine logically. If not, you will struggle. I had to send photos of the little parts to have them explain to me exactly how to place them.
But let's say you manage with the instructions and the little parts; everything is fine. The biggest problem was the holes in the wrong spots on the legs. I couldn't make new holes because the ones I would make would overlap with the existing holes, so I would end up with huge holes where the screws would swim around, and it wouldn't make sense. So I have a table that will always wobble and won't be stable. And that's a big problem.
On the other hand, the surface is nice and easy to clean. It's a beautiful table.
As in the photo. I made it today and I don't have an opinion on durability but it seems okay.
BUT the fact that there are no assembly instructions is unacceptable.
With only one diagram that leaves everything to your imagination (photo 2)
What you need to do is assemble the 4 legs, set them aside, place the top on the bottom, and build the frame on top of it. This is a bit tricky to fit together.
You need to lift the edges to fit into the screws and dowels. (Photo 3)
Finally, you screw the legs to the outside of the frame.
For the assembly, minus one star.
I will return for the durability.
The table, besides being beautiful, is well-made. Although the material is not amazing, it doesn't scratch at all and doesn't fall apart with the slightest touch like cheap melamine products do. It is sturdy, can withstand weight (I weigh 75 kilos and it holds me) and the legs don't wobble at all. Excellent purchase. A huge downside is the completely nonexistent assembly instructions that only show you a very small diagram of how the table should look in the end and leave the rest to your imagination. If someone has assembled furniture of this type before, it's very easy, but this doesn't negate the fact that it's unacceptable to not have proper instructions included.
