Very good for its money, so far I have cut 5 tons of wood and planed it for the stove, the only problem I had was that the spring from the cord broke but it was my own stupidity, I solved the issue with the running oils, it has a black tube that goes under the carburetor, at the top of it has a valve that is the oil vent, I took it out, cut a little of the tip and put it back on and it doesn't leak a drop, for some reason the oil pressure increases in the oil tank and because it cannot be released from the vent, it was leaking oil, now this way it is vented and nothing runs
Like new with full maintenance three months of work, change of carburetor and electronics and still does not move forward. Some may be lucky and not have problems
Very powerful tool, just when you buy it, change the spark plug with a branded one, use Oregon chain oil and Husqvarna LS two-stroke engine oil, and you will have it for a lifetime. Not oil from a gas station and generally low-quality oils. I have pruned around 500 olive tree branches and it continues unaffected
I have had it for 1.5 years. At first, the rope broke, then it was leaking oil from underneath (the dealership wrote on the paper...repair...without details and without even opening it). Then it wouldn't increase speed and would turn off. Useless
I use it for rough professional use. It starts easily, just needs a choke, a single pull until it pops without flooding, then you close the choke and pull again and it starts. I have to do the same with Husqvarna, Oleo-Mac, and Echo, which I use the same way. So it starts as easily as more expensive chainsaws. It is lightweight, without vibrations, with a side tensioner and not hidden under the chain cover, it literally works for hours even with a dull chain without hesitation or complaints. Its finish and plastics are better than Oleo-Mac and Echo, double screw for the bar and it cuts easily even branches and trunks the size of a wrist. Economical. I didn't expect such a great tool, I bought it as a backup for pruning and it became my first choice. Even the noise at idle is lower than the expensive ones. When it starts, it takes ten seconds to overcome a hesitation on the throttle, but my Echo does the same. If it ever breaks, I will buy the same one. Kostas K, Volos
For 135 euros, it is more than good, almost perfect (if it didn't lose oil from the chain during storage, where you have to keep it with the frame so it doesn't empty!)
I write reviews when something impresses or disappoints me greatly. Unfortunately, for this particular product (Hyundai HCS-5200G), the latter applies.
I bought it in early January 2020 for €131.90. I didn't use it immediately, I just tested if it starts. After about three months, I started cutting wood and noticed the following:
1. The user manual states a fuel-oil ratio of 1:40, but when I opened the box, I saw a yellow sticker on the handle that said 1:25.
2. It is very heavy, which quickly tires you out.
3. Even when it is turned off, there is oil leakage from the chain.
4. Poor quality plastic and other materials used in construction.
5. The chain is of poor quality and after cutting 8-10 pieces of wood, each measuring 90-100 cm and cutting them into 30 cm pieces, it was destroyed. I had to spend an additional €20 to buy an Oregon chain.
6. It has a lot of vibrations when in operation, which is tiring when you work for a long time.
7. The instruction booklet is incomplete. It does not mention the chain tensioning step, the guide bar thickness, and the chain length.
I wonder how such poor products are circulating in the market.
Conclusion: I wasted €131.90 + €5.50 for shipping. If you want a chainsaw with these characteristics, spend more money and get a reputable brand, you won't regret it.
The first week I was satisfied! From the second week, the oil cap broke and it doesn't turn off completely (stuck). Also, the main issue is that it has a chain oil leak!! I went to the store where they sold it to me in Piraeus and they fixed it with Alekos while it's still under warranty!!! It is very heavy!! The chain is a joke!! In short, I bought it for 135 and with 5 months of minimal use, I have taken it to the mechanic 3 times and I have spent a total of 65€ on the mechanic!! Don't fall for it like I did
It is more Chinese than the Chinese themselves.
I bought it purely for amateur use, up to about 4-5 cubic meters/year.
The first one I bought NEVER worked, I returned it. The dealership said they repaired it and returned it. It still didn't work. They were playing games with me. Eventually, they replaced it themselves at the store where I bought it.
In 12 months, I changed the chainsaw twice.
Poor quality of plastics and chains. After cutting 2 cubic meters of wood, it simply wouldn't cut anymore. (I put a Husqvarna x-cut chain and it changed its character!)
There is no customer service (!!!), only the importer in Thessaloniki. There are no phone numbers anywhere! If you manage to find them and get in touch with them, they are extremely aggressive and rude, just because... you bothered them. (One of the phrases I remember, among others, is "Who told you that you can call here?", "Go back to where you bought it from!" !!!)
The manual is in Greek without diagrams, without anything (as others mention in their reviews), poorly translated, which will create problems for some instead of solving them.
For example, Greeks write (in the translation) about the fuel/oil mixture ratio of 40:1, while the manufacturer clearly emphasizes and warns with 25:1 on the tool itself. We immediately understand how much of a joke the whole situation is.
For €80, there is EXACTLY the same thing, of a different brand in black/orange, for the record.
I would not buy it again, not even for half the price. No way. It's not just about the money, which has reached €200 for me, but about the reliability, as I bought a tool and couldn't repeatedly do the job.
I have two others from different brands. I have never encountered this kind of disaster.
Sad.
Hello, ladies and gentlemen. This particular tool was purchased on 2-11-2019. I will start with its construction and assembly. Firstly, I received it with one of its screws bent, where the blade is screwed in. I fixed it by hitting it with a hammer and a screwdriver, after first inserting the washer. Secondly, when I shook the tool out of curiosity to see if anything was moving, because you never know what might happen, I heard a distinct sound of an object that was unscrewed, under the top plastic cover. Eventually, it came out when I laid the tool flat. It is probably some kind of shock absorber. I will fix it and put it back in place. In the meantime, I have filled it with 1.5 liters of unleaded gasoline and full synthetic oil [hp ultra] from the brand.. Now, as for its plastics, well, if I had the money, I would have bought something much more expensive. We always talk about the correlation between money and value. I will come back to discuss its durability and usefulness, time will tell. Thank you.
I have had the saw for five months. I have cut about five tons of dry logs with a thickness of 15-20 cm. The saw performs perfectly. It starts easily, has a very good engine, two screws on the blade, and its plastics are quite good. I highly recommend it.
For someone who doesn't want to spend a lot of money and wants to use it almost professionally, it is one of the top choices. Double screw on the blade, lightweight for a 40cc and enough power without vibrations, it stands up to much more expensive models. I use it with regular unleaded gasoline and NOT 100cc with oleo-mac oil (2 liters with 50 ml). It has cut tons of wood and I haven't had any problems with it. In short, if you take care of it, you will have it for a very long time without any issues.
The Hyundai HCS 5200 G chainsaw is amazing!! It is definitely worth the purchase, as the quality-reliability-price ratio is value for money. I first primed the woodcutter with 2-3 gasoline deposits at idle, with intervals of rest and occasional small revs, and then when the moment came for cutting, it performed flawlessly, a TOOL!!! It is a bit heavier due to its sturdy build, but its 50-inch blade has excellent chain tensioning and everything works perfectly!
I highly recommend it for those who want something good and economical with the guarantee of Hyundai.
