The Sony announced the first vlog camera in the Alpha series with interchangeable lenses, the new ZV-E10. Designed from the ground up for vlogging and vloggers, the new camera combines Sony's advanced imaging technology with enhanced usability and a customized set of features optimized for video creators.
One-touch background blur control
No complicated manual settings are needed, just press a single button to activate and deactivate background defocus (bokeh). Choose "Defocus" for professional-looking background blur to highlight the main subject or "Clear" to show the entire scene in sharp focus.
Add magic with slow and fast motion
With the ZV-E10's Still/Movie/S&Q button, you can easily switch to S&Q mode for shooting slow-motion video at a speed x4 slower than real-time. Or, by changing the setting, it is possible to shoot in fast motion at a speed up to x60 faster. These shots can be made in Full HD, without additional processing on a PC.
Ideal for product review videos
Forget the difficulties of recording product review videos. When the product presentation setting is enabled, the camera will quickly and easily shift focus from your face to the product you are holding in front of the camera, without needing to put your hand behind the product to bring it into focus.
High-quality video even on the go
The image stabilization system of the ZV-E10 can capture smooth, sharp video shots, even when walking. Another feature, the face-priority auto exposure (AE), will automatically illuminate your face. Even when walking, it automatically detects your face and makes adjustments to keep it brightly lit as you move from indoors to outdoors, through light or shadows.
Precision Autofocus
Without any adjustments, the ZV-E10 can automatically track your face and eyes with steady focus, without drifting to other subjects. When you want to change focus, touch the LCD screen and the camera will track the selected subject with Real-time Tracking using artificial intelligence.
Smooth, professional focus transition
In the ZV-E10, the focusing speed can be adjusted according to the atmosphere, for a more impressive appearance. The camera offers seven different speed options, from fast to more relaxed transition.
Clear audio recording even outdoors with wind
The ZV-E10 comes with a windscreen that reduces wind noise in outdoor shots. Simply attach the windscreen for seamless video recording, no need to adjust noise levels after shooting.
Imaging Edge DesktopTM for remote control from PC
Upgrade your images with Imaging Edge Desktop applications, the software with which you can control and monitor live shooting from your PC screen, as well as organize and edit photos.
Stress-free Power Supply
Long battery life for outdoor shooting
The ZV-E10's battery allows for up to 125 minutes of continuous video recording or up to 440 still images, ensuring comfortable long-duration shooting in outdoor environments.
External power supplies for extended shooting
For even greater flexibility, the camera supports external power supply via a USB Type-C® port, allowing for extended recording times with external portable batteries.
Optional AC power supply for live streaming
When you have access to AC power, you can use an AC power adapter, such as the AC-PW20AM, without worrying about the battery during live streaming.

For people who are just starting out with photography or video, this is the best choice they can make. It has a very easy menu, and anyone who sits down and engages can produce very good material even with the kit lens, although it may be a bit challenging at night, it does a great job.
My first camera. It's worth it for someone like me, who is not a professional and doesn't need the perfect camera, but wants good quality in the content I upload (@tzavelas_taixnei) and for my daily life. I feel that it gives me a lot of creative leverage and I want to take advantage of it.
It has a wide range of options and in terms of quality, I think it falls into the category where a novice (like me) can't distinguish the difference in quality compared to much more expensive cameras, especially on social media.
A downside is that even though it's a vlogging camera, the video has quite a bit of shaking, so you need extra equipment if, for example, you're walking and filming.
I don't know if this will be a negative in the long run, but I feel some buttons are not very sturdy, as if they break easily.
In general, I read that the camera's menu was a negative, but I didn't find it particularly terrible. There are very informative videos on YouTube; you just need to spend about half an hour on it, and you'll learn everything.
I don't know if there are better cameras in this category or more worth it, but this one has fully satisfied me.
It is a very good choice if you want to level up your photography or video from your smartphone. The camera does NOT have a viewfinder (I don't know why it is written in the specifications). The lens is very basic, meaning it is excellent during the day, but struggles at night. The zoom can be done both by lever and by the lens ring. There are endless possibilities. I recommend it to those who want to get involved and learn more about photography or video. Ideal for vloggers as well.
For the money, it does the job well as if you had an A6500. Of course, the A6500 wins in comparison to the Zn-E10 in certain aspects. I suspect with a better lens than the kit, it will have even better results (which are already good). I was impressed by the 4K performance and clarity.
Amazing camera for beginners but also as a second body for any use.
I mainly got it as a second camera on a gimbal.
Very small in size and weight.
Basically, it's the a6500 without a viewfinder and IBS at half the price.
Its autofocus is the same as all of Sony's new generation. Eye AF works perfectly, and I have also tried Animal Eye AF with a telephoto lens and did not expect such AF from a camera at this price.
In video, I use it together with the a7s and if you know what you're doing with post-production, the result for the money is amazing.
Essentially, the zv-e10 is sharper than the a7s3 because it downsamples from 6k.
I was in a dilemma whether to get this or the a6500.
I believe that if you're more into photography, the 6500 is a better choice, only for the viewfinder.
