The only downside is that the scanner has small metal elements in the front that need to be attached to each scanned item in order for the sound to be heard and the price to be calculated. Our scanner did not last even 3 times since we bought it, and the 4-year-old child and I were playing with it, so you could say that it was mishandled. These metal teeth "got stuck" and besides not attaching to the scanned items, it was useless because it didn't make any sound. We bought it from a store, except for the receipt, and we returned it. And the store employee I spoke to was not surprised, it had happened to her before. There are more affordable and durable cash registers available
