It was measured with a plethora of thermometers, mercury, and boiler thermostats. You can't find any better!
I read about a dozen reviews, all of them praising it as if the thermometer has received ISO certification from Arnaoutoglou!
When you buy such a gadget, you buy it for a specific purpose and you want it to do its job honestly. Giving it a generous 5 stars without any point of comparison increases the demand for the product and consequently its price! As a result, you can find it for 17€ in Thessaloniki!
Pros: Beautiful, Slim, easy to read, 3-year warranty.
*update 09/10/21 Compared to these two that you see in the photo, which have the best reviews from thousands of evaluations on a well-known German website, it has very small differences. Of course, now you see these indications during the day may be completely different from each other, so you can't draw any conclusions, you just take an average and say we must be somewhere around here!
Nevertheless, I consider Thermopro the best of all!!! So I give Beurer one more star, although it may deserve 4 stars. Finally, after some criticism... the price in Thessaloniki became reasonable!
*update 01/11/21 After purchasing a pair of hygrometers! (as seen in the photo) I noticed with surprise that they perform well in the pair! So I started to reconsider... and to be fair, I gave it 4 stars, which is the final rating!
However, the Thermopro TP-55 (the last two in the photo) keep in their memory the lowest-highest indication of the 24-hour period or overall! This function is very good!
It gives low values in measuring humidity, based on relative comparisons I estimate it to be 5 to 8% lower than the actual value. This does not satisfy me at all. I chose it as a hygrometer
UPDATE after 3+ years of use: It does not withstand the test of time. The battery compartment has oxidized internally, it doesn't fit well, and it turns off. It also consumes CR2025 batteries very quickly, to the point where it is no longer cost-effective. Its measurements always had a deviation of +-1oC which is acceptable. If you have it hanging on a wall, it measures - as expected - the wall temperature, which is usually lower than the room temperature. I would not buy it again.
Does it show correctly compared to other thermometers? Yes. But it shows exactly the same as small ones that cost 1-2€ from China. I don't know if both will last the same amount of time, time will tell. However, so far the larger size and the ability to display maximum and minimum of the day do not justify the price compared to the small ones available on the market.
Average product, average choice. And this is mainly due to the quite to very fake plastic that the product is made of. After only a few months in my possession, the shape has warped without any drops, and the screen is not as readable as they say.. Average choice.
I bought 2 exactly the same, I put them next to each other and they show completely different readings as I show in the photo I took after 1 hour of installation. I'm going to exchange it with an expensive hygrometer and I will keep only the one that at least approximates the readings.
Very nice, I have it in the baby's crib to monitor the temperature. The humidity indicator is 100% accurate because it shows the same humidity as the humidifier. I can easily see it at night with a small night light, even though I have myopia!
I bought two pieces. One worked for a week and since then it constantly shows a "LL" indication for humidity.
Update: It states in the instructions "If the air humidity is outside the measuring range, the indication "LL" (<20%) or "HH" (>95%) appears"
The temperature indication is accurate, but it loses 6 units in humidity. In terms of measurement accuracy, the selling price should have been at most 8 euros. It is too expensive for what it offers
Dehumidifier - Beurer 1-0.. But so much difference? I have had both of them running for two days, the dehumidifier, and they don't match at all, with a big gap.
The product is very good. I have bought 2 about a year ago and it does what it promises, namely it has accurate measurements, a large screen for easy viewing of numbers from a distance, and its battery still lasts.
Excellent, expensive, but quickly changes its measurements when you change its location. It saved us. We use it for the space where our baby is located.
I got one for myself, and I also got a second one for my mother. No problem with both devices, the measurements are accurate, and the battery hasn't shown any issues.
Very good size with large letters. It stands nicely on the nightstand/table. Accuracy in temperature measurements (checked with a thermostat) and humidity (checked with a dehumidifier). I highly recommend it.
I had bought it when my child was born a few years ago for 20€ to monitor temperature and humidity (on the right in the photo) in the baby's room from a baby store. I always considered it the most reliable compared to other watches with a thermometer that I happened to have (which did not emphasize the thermometer). Recently, I bought another thermometer/hygrometer (on the left in the photo) and compared them for many hours.
The specifications of the new one are ±1° and it has 2 meters. The impressive thing is that the Beurer shows the average temperature of both meters on the left, with minimal deviations, which for me indicates satisfactory accuracy in the measurements.
As for humidity, they show the same.
The Beurer, compared to the other one, has double the price, but in terms of quality and accuracy in measurements, I think it is worth it.
I found that it measures much lower humidity than the actual one compared to two other thermometers of the same price. Maybe mine is defective because the brand is reliable.
Two were purchased at the same time. They have minimal deviation between them (0.1C) side by side. As for general accuracy, they have a deviation of (0.5C) from another device. Now I don't know which one is correct!
Temperature measurement: excellent!
Humidity measurement: shows about 4% lower than other devices.
Battery life: needs changing after 10 to 15 days and I have tried from many companies! Unacceptable!
It has a deviation in humidity compared to the dehumidifier and in temperature compared to the mercury thermometer and the radiator thermostat. Overall, it shows lower readings. It would be a plus if the screen was somehow illuminated and if it had a time or even a date display. I don't know if it's worth the money or if I would get the same or better performance with a cheaper one.
Good thermometer-hygrometer.. readable screen, seems to capture temperature changes. Comparison with room thermostat shows a deviation of 0.1-0.2 degrees. (not exactly close to it, of course)
Quite convenient thermometer, quality construction. As for the measurements, obviously I don't have specialized equipment to estimate the accuracy of these specific Beurer thermometers, but intuitively I would say that the accuracy is satisfactory. I also recommend placing it in open spaces rather than stored on a shelf, as the readings may be less accurate in terms of the actual temperature of the entire room. Finally, the screen, because it is the type that is visible in the pictures, don't expect to be able to distinguish it from many different angles or in dark conditions.
###UPDATE###
After comparing the humidity reading of the Beurer with a new Inventor dehumidifier, I see that there is a deviation of about 4-5% (the Beurer shows lower). I assume the dehumidifier provides a more accurate measurement, although regardless, I consider the deviation to be within acceptable limits.
After about 1 year, it simply stopped working.
I changed the battery, I tried everything... Nothing!
It went down the drain.
I had bought it along with 2 others, one of which costs 5-6€ less and the other 10€ less. Well, the other two continue to work flawlessly and with similar indications, while the Beurer always had bigger deviations than the other two!!
