The 2-way Foley catheters are made of latex with a silicone coating. The lumen of the catheter is wide, while its side holes are smooth to prevent injury during catheterization.

The balloon is reinforced, inflates symmetrically, and has a capacity of 30ml.

The most commonly used urethral catheter is the 2-way Foley catheter, which consists of:

• A channel body (one lumen for urine drainage and one for inflating and deflating the balloon)
• A round tip with a balloon to hold it in place
• Two drainage holes at the ends of the balloon
