It would help to have some kind of adjustable strap so that it fits better on the child's body. Now the life jacket rides up higher and the child looks like they are hanging.... I don't know if a smaller size would fit them. It does float very well as a life jacket on its own, though. The materials are relatively good for the price. It just doesn't fit properly on the child's body. There should have been something to tighten it around the body.
