I bought a Greek product and the green one from the same company, this one is clearly better but more or less the same applies. Generally, when you buy garden hose it is good to stretch it along its entire length and twist it so that it loses the shape it had curled up so it doesn't break on you. It is not hard so don't expect it not to break easily...
