Energy Efficiency
The air conditioner belongs to energy class A++ for cooling and energy class A+ for heating (average zone). The energy class is measured on a seven-level color scale from A+++ to D, with class A+++ being the most efficient, while class D is the least efficient.
Additionally, there are the SEER and SCOP indicators, which more realistically depict the actual energy efficiency of air conditioners.
- SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is representative for the entire cooling season. It is defined as the ratio of the annual required cooling to the annual electricity consumption (the annual cooling consumption is based on 350 hours of operation). Indicatively, for an air conditioner of class A and above, the SEER indicator is from 5.10w/w units and above.
- SCOP (Seasonal Coefficient of Performance) is representative for the entire heating season. It is defined as the ratio of the annual required heating to the annual electricity consumption (the annual heating consumption is based on 1400 hours of operation). At low temperatures, above zero though e.g. +4 degrees, the compressor stops to defrost and then the air conditioner must be restarted. This is the first time it is being used in Winter, so I will monitor its operation and possibly update the review.

It has not shown the slightest sign of malfunction, and cleaning is done every year. We use it quite a bit in the summer or even in the winter when it gets quite cold. The ionizer and ECO mode are always on. In terms of performance, we are satisfied with normal temperatures on the remote control at any season, while the building as a whole is old. The noise level is also quite low. The timer function is useful as well, where you can set it to turn off by itself after 1 or 2 or however many hours you want. The bill always comes with a small increase, although it is subjective how much you use it, how much the kilowatt-hour is at that time, etc., the important thing is that it really doesn't consume much. It is definitely recommended, especially at its price.

I bought it in January 2023, I only use it for cooling, its performance is not good for 35 sqm 18 BTU, and for cooling, I set it to 23 to have a temperature of 28-27. It makes a lot of noise from both the indoor and outdoor units. This summer, it displayed an H3 code and it DOES NOT WORK. I have been trying to resolve this with the company for 10 days. I would not recommend it for purchase.

The umi is noticeably more powerful, noticeably noisier, but according to the manufacturer more economical. With both of them together, I manage to cool/heat a 80 sq.m. house with moderate insulation. The air they both emit is excellent. If you want to put it in a room, I recommend the hiro because it is extremely quiet.

I would give it 5 stars if I didn't struggle so much with the wifi connection. The instructions are inadequate and need to be changed. You need to connect to a 2.4 GHz network (separate networks through the router) and name the 2.4 network (SSID) with digits = letters that do not exceed 32 characters along with the password. Give a short name that also includes 2.4 GHz, for example Peter-2.4GHz. When you reset the Wifi on the air conditioner and start the process through the application, be very close to the machine. If you follow these steps, you will connect very easily.

I put it in a 25 square meter room, the 12, it's miraculous, it cools and in other rooms, so it's for more than 25+ sq.m. Quite fast cooling. We bought it this year for our country house. Tested in cooling, it cools a regular room just fine. The indoor unit is relatively quiet, at least it didn't bother me at all. However, the outdoor unit makes a sound as if a drone is flying around... that's why I didn't give it 5 stars.
Update 16.12.23: I also bought a 24,000 BTU for my house at a very good offer due to Black Friday. Very good performance, no doubt about it, but guys, it's not that quiet. The outdoor unit is okay, I decided to go for a slightly quieter one, but it seems that's how they all are. Now, however, I noticed with the 24,000 BTU that even the indoor unit (even in quiet mode) makes this buzzing sound and it's loud (not unbearable, but it becomes tiring in the long run). Also, I want to mention a comment I saw from someone else. Set at 22 degrees heat, with room temperature at 24, it doesn't stop working. Excellent for small rooms the 9,000 BTU. I don't know about larger BTU but the 9,000 one is completely silent both the indoor and outdoor unit. The fans of my PC make more noise. Did you find this review helpful? I was torn between this and a Tesla that was about €100 cheaper. I chose this one to play it safe, even though the 12-inch Tesla I have is really good.
So:
1. The internal unit is noisy. The mechanic told me as soon as he saw it, but I didn't believe him. I thought it would have been mentioned in the reviews.
2. The remote control, besides not being very attractive, doesn't have all the functions that the machine offers. It also has a dent on the back, which makes it difficult to know which side you're holding if you don't look. Oh, and it doesn't light up.
3. There is no left-right swing (like in the Tesla). It would have been very convenient for me because it had to be placed directly opposite the couch, so the air would blow directly on me.
4. When it's closed, there is a red indicator that it's closed, as if it's not obvious... You can turn it off so it doesn't show, from the remote control, by pressing "Light" (very self-explanatory, huh?), but then you won't be able to see the temperature when it's open...
5. It cools a space larger than the one it's intended for.
