Quite good, but difficult to set up correctly. I also use the Dolby Atmos Win11 Plugin and the DTS:X Win11, and I have managed to achieve the best possible settings. I was more satisfied with the Creative SXFI Gamer (€130) regarding SXFI compared to Dolby & DTS.
2 years of use and everything is fine. Sound, microphone are okay, nothing extraordinary and the biggest plus is the comfort. Even after hours of use, there is no issue.
**The main reason I am writing this review is because in 1.5 years the stock cushions ripped and Corsair sent me new ones with very fast communication from their support, which is something very positive, especially considering what we see from other companies. The whole issue was resolved within a day.
I randomly bought them for 200 euros, because the Kraken v3 Pro that were gifted to me were defective.
Previously, I had the HyperX Cloud 2 for 4-5 years, which satisfied me and then some. Coming from those, I felt a noticeable difference in the lack of strong bass in the Virtuoso XT. However, I got used to it, and now the Cloud 2 seems excessively bass-heavy to me.
What I liked about the Virtuoso XT:
1. Clear sound, especially for FPS games. You can really tell where someone is by listening to their footsteps.
2. Plenty of buttons to adjust Bluetooth connection, sound, and microphone on/off.
3. The microphone is the best I've tried so far. It's crystal clear. Now the competition is starting to release microphones of similar quality (Blackshark V2 Pro 2023).
4. Super sturdy construction.
5. Beautiful, you can wear it outside if you generally listen to music.
6. Bluetooth for connecting to a mobile phone or TV.
What I didn't like:
1. The Corsair software is not user-friendly and doesn't offer any significant changes with EQ presets.
2. The bass could be deeper.
3. I would have liked better ear cushions because I had issues with my ears (they touched the drivers). In the photos, you can see the Wicked Cushions, which are far superior in comfort (mainly), appearance, stability on the head, and noise isolation.
Therefore, I would buy them again for 200 euros. For the current price of 280 euros, I don't think they're worth it.
PS: If you have them/want to buy them, get some ear cushions too!
I leave a review so that you don't make the same mistake and buy them, they are not worth their money for any reason. Sound and build quality are very good indeed and the wireless microphone is possibly the best out there. In terms of comfort and software, I have never seen worse. There are much better options for their price
I have had them for almost a year and I did not buy them from skroutz.
Tragic. Tragic. Tragic. Expensive, they turn off by themselves, you have to plug in the cable every now and then to revive them, the microphone that I don't always use is detachable, good but it easily gets damaged, unacceptable and unnecessarily complex software, along with the rest it has a nice case that, of course, cannot fit them inside, so it's useless. No matter what I did with the drivers and whatnot, it didn't help.
The further away, the better in general. Better something cheaper and definitely not Corsair.
PS. I wanted to use them for work and for the Aircall calling application. Aircall itself only supports specific brands and they state it on their website. I found out later when I was trying to figure out what was happening. Who would have thought that even Corsair has such issues, obviously Aircall knew about it. I ended up using them with Bluetooth barely. The conclusions are up to you.
I am the owner of the Corsair Virtuoso Carbon, with which I was quite satisfied. Then I decided to buy the XT version because of its Bluetooth connectivity and because it is slightly more comfortable.
Like the Carbon, they have a fairly flat sound, lacking a bit in the high frequencies, but there is an EQ for Windows. Of course, you can get cheaper non-gaming headphones from other companies with better sound quality, but not with this feature set. There are also problems with drivers and iCue, as always with Corsair products. It constantly changed the setting from Stereo to 7.1 Surround, resulting in poor sound quality. The EQ stops working when, for example, you move around the house and lock the desktop on the PC after a while...
However, the biggest problem that made them truly disappointing is the low-end distortion. Whenever they tried to reproduce sound with deep bass, distortions/crackling would occur (which doesn't happen with my Carbon). It's unbelievable that such a "premium" and expensive product has such issues while the marketing advertises "no distortion".
I spoke with Corsair support for troubleshooting and they replaced them twice. They were tested with a 3.5mm jack, Bluetooth, USB cable, and Corsair's wired stick, and they distorted everywhere. They were also tested on different computers, mobile devices, etc. without any difference. At the same time, the Carbon worked perfectly on the same computers. In the end, Corsair offered me a replacement with a different product, so I got a K100 Keyboard for about the same price.
Searching forums, others had the same issue but without any solution... and since I tried 3 different ones and had the same problem, I wonder how all the reviewers praise them (unless they are paid). It is clearly a hardware issue. I don't know if I got a faulty batch, but I won't risk it again, and Corsair's support, although they don't object to replacement, is completely indifferent in asking for additional information, checking the returned headsets, and generally finding out what's wrong.
Good evening everyone.
I bought them a few days ago. As a fan of sound and Corsair, I decided to go for the expensive model. I was disappointed!! I have made many bad purchases in my life, but never this bad. For 250 euros, you should be getting 10 pairs of these, not just 1.
As a positive, I can say that the build quality is indeed impeccable! However, the bass is non-existent, the treble is nowhere to be found. I struggled to open the equalizer and was even more disappointed! It's a shame that this product is being sold for 250 euros! What a waste!!
As soon as I took them out of the box and used them for 4 hours, I decided to charge them. They never charged. After 7 hours, they were discharged. Thankfully, the store replaced them immediately. After a week of use, I can say that I am quite satisfied with my standards.
The sound is very good for games, although it requires some adjustment to the equalizer through the application. In terms of comfort, the ear cushions are terrible. They are very soft and the drivers press against the ears. It depends on the head, of course. The only solution I found is cushions with foam padding and leather. It completely changes the feeling of pressure on the head. As for the sound, I didn't expect such strong intensity in a wireless connection. Quite satisfied. The microphone is excellent. Just download the Nvidia highlights program since it is now integrated into icue. After a little adjustment to the microphone and speaking through teamspeak and discord, I had no problems with my teammates. The program isolates all external sounds. 5 out of 5 for the microphone. In terms of bass, it is average. With a little adjustment, it can be improved, but don't have high expectations for music. You also get a free code for Dolby surround. A plus.
Very good in all areas. Gaming, music, movies - they offer Dolby Atmos (free application on PC) as soon as you connect them. They can be a bit tiring after 5 hours... depending, of course, on each person's head and ears! A bit expensive... but they offer so many types of connections and conveniences that you won't find anywhere else. I constantly wear headphones on my computer and in wireless mode, they last for 2 days (8-10 hours of use) per day. I prefer the USB connection (96 Khz Studio).
