The name of the new Gai series from Tojiro means "armor" in Japanese and is clearly influenced by its distinctive handle. A blade with 37 layers of Damascus stainless steel and a VG10 core combined with an embossed rough handle made of micarta contribute to a unique result.
Key features:
The utility knife is a miniature version of the chef's knife. It can be used for meat, fish, vegetables, and even fruits, while its smaller size and shorter blade help it maneuver more easily. It is ideal for small portions, as well as carving and creating garnishes.
Distinctive blade:
The blade of the Gai is made of Damascus stainless steel, renowned for its sharpness and durability. The core of the blade consists of the VG10 stainless steel alloy, known for its hardness, and is surrounded by distinct layers of Damascus steel, enhancing the knife's hardness and durability.
Comfortable and firm grip:
The uniquely designed handle of the Gai is characterized by a sturdy surface and is made of Micarta, a material used in the construction of reliable and durable professional knives. The handle offers a comfortable and firm grip as well as stability.
Additional features:
It is recommended to avoid the dishwasher and wash the knife by hand in warm water. It will need sharpening at some point to maintain high performance.
