Description

The VI 1000 GXB UPS Line-Interactive 1000VA 600W with 4 Schuko Sockets by Powerwalker is a Tower UPS. It features 4 Schuko type sockets as well as an input and output for an ethernet cable, protecting the devices connected to it, e.g., a router (provided its power supply is also connected to the UPS or a surge protector). Its operation is (VI) Line-Interactive, which continuously adjusts the output voltage through an automatic voltage regulator, protecting against voltage fluctuations and power outages. Its battery can last 7 minutes at half load or 2 minutes at full load (when the devices connected draw half or the maximum current the UPS can provide, respectively). It offers pure sine wave power, which is suitable for sensitive devices (e.g., medical equipment) and is preferred for devices with power supplies that have active PFC protection (e.g., computers).

  • This review is about the power (va): 1500 VA

Purchased for 249 euros in July '22.
For that money, it's just fine.
Up until today, I haven't had any problems.
Obviously, I don't have much more to say than Aris, who is an expert, and thanks to his review, I chose this one.
Today, 3/2/25, I see it costs 431 euros. DING!
The stores seem like they're trying NOT to sell it at that price. Anyway, if you have patience and aren't in a hurry, I see the price has quite a few ups and downs, so add it to your wishlist and get it when the price falls back to reasonable levels.

I bought it 3 days ago after a lot of searching thanks to the relevant video from Hardware busters, there is no better description than that. I connected it to a 27-inch monitor on a mid-range computer. The load it showed was low (only one bar was shown). I tested it for a minute while loading it with various videos to play on the PC (I didn't leave it longer), although it definitely lasts much longer. Everything is perfect. It seems very sturdy and well-designed UPS with a very nice detachable screen. The fan only works when it's charging and again not constantly, and when it goes into AVR mode, it's not as loud as I imagined. Personally, it doesn't bother me at all. It is completely silent during all other hours. The only downside was that it smelled very strongly like burnt plastic for about a day throughout the living room. The same afternoon, the smell completely disappeared, now it only smells a little if you bend over it, but as it seems, it will completely go away. I have heard about this smell issue with several UPS, usually those of 1000VA and above, and in most cases, it is not something dangerous from what I have read, it's just something with the varnish of the plastic that slowly melts when you first connect it to the socket. Time will tell the rest. For now, easily 5 stars!

Real sine, removable screen, software compatible with all common operating systems, front USB ports for device charging, and small dimensions. The best part is the RGB lighting!!!!! However, the RGB lighting is not just for show, but can be set to provide information. Although, it can be difficult to remember the colors and what each one means.
