After 12 years of using a very good Oral B toothbrush that cost 20 euros, I decided to upgrade to the IO model.
Initially, the first impression is impeccable. It is a well-designed product that looks high-quality with a premium feel. Although I was afraid of the black color, it actually looks very nice up close.
The screen is beautiful and convenient for selecting programs and settings.
The Greek menu was a pleasant surprise!
Clearly, a screen that says good morning is not the most necessary feature in a toothbrush, but it adds a playful touch for fans of this type of gadget.
It is comfortable to hold and lightweight. However, it does shake your mouth a bit at first until you get used to it, as it is very powerful.
The cleaning result is outstanding! It leaves the feeling that your mouth is perfectly clean and healthy. Especially if you are used to using a traditional toothbrush, the difference is night and day.
The illuminated ring that changes color when you apply pressure to your teeth is also useful.
I really like the travel case, it is elegant and secure for taking the toothbrush with you. However, I would prefer if it could be charged with a USB for more convenience instead of using the included charger.
Once you connect the toothbrush to the Oral B app, you can see details of your brushing after each use, such as coverage and pressure on the teeth, etc.
Through the app, you can also adjust several functions.
Personally, the mapping and 3D tracking have been working correctly for me so far. It knows where I am brushing and I can see it on my phone.
The price? Yes... It is very expensive.
For what it offers, I believe it is worth its price. However, it is also a bit of a luxury purchase. If you are just looking for a good toothbrush to do the job, my opinion is to go for a more economical model from the company, and you will surely be very satisfied. But if you like technological extras and want something more, go ahead and buy it, you will enjoy it!
It is the second time that the battery breaks within a few months! The first time (s9 model) it broke over time and they replaced it with a new one (s10), as it was under warranty. But even in the second one they gave me, the battery broke within just 8 months! For the amount of money they cost, it is unacceptable for this to happen. They should simply admit that the models are defective so that we can turn to another company. I would not buy any model from this company again. We pay 100 times more than the price of a simple toothbrush and we can't even do the most basic job!! Unacceptable!

The best gift you should give to yourself. It keeps your teeth clean and free of tartar for several years after your last visit to the dentist. The smart features it has on the phone you notice a little at first and then you forget them, to be honest, only the reminder to change the head is useful that comes to your phone as a notification.

I got the first one in June 23 and after 6 months when the battery dropped to about 50%, the toothbrush would turn off and I had to put it back to charge to use it again. I took it to service, they replaced it for me, and the new one after almost a year is showing the same problem again. It turns off by itself during use when the battery goes to about 60%. In other respects, it is excellent. You feel like it cleans your teeth very well!
The best electric toothbrush I've ever had!!! Also, their service is very good. I had a small issue with the seal because I dropped it, and they replaced the entire toothbrush for me right away.

The washing is excellent (this was needed with such a price), but it's a completely problematic model! In one, the magnet inside came off after 6 months, and in the other, after a year, the battery completely failed all of a sudden! Unacceptable for such a price... And of course, with the bad practice of not easily allowing us to change the battery...
Incredible. It's worth the money. I don't know about reliability because I've had it for a month. The feeling is indeed somewhat like after a cleaning.
I have been using the toothbrush for 4 months and I am very satisfied. I used to use a regular toothbrush until recently and the result is incomparably better. I feel my teeth cleaner and my breath fresher (I also use the tongue cleaning function). I also use the whitening brush occasionally.

Could you do your job with a cheaper product from the same company? Definitely. It's not that the results are different or that it offers something better. You'll brush for 4 minutes anyway. Guys, I know some of you might get upset with my experience on the product but I have to say the following.
I was obsessed with getting the iO Series 9 and a friend of mine has the iO Series 3 and told me it's not worth spending 150+ euros because it's exactly the same motor (same power), you just pay for:
- The +4 extra cleaning functions.
- The support of the app (which is essentially useless and a headache to monitor the brushing progress - since someone who already had an electric toothbrush knows the process)
- The magnetic charging that charges in 2-3 hours instead of 13 hours (which doesn't help as the battery life in both is about 2 weeks with 1 to 2 minutes a day).
And some say that the motor is more powerful in the "big series" (Series 8, 9, 10) which is NOT true and companies probably make some people say that.
It's all about marketing. Initially, the model 9 was launched (in 2020). But because people don't buy into it, the company started removing features and reducing the price on new models (more budget-friendly) to boost sales.
I personally got influenced by a video on YouTube showing the motor power difference between an Oral-B (not iO - costing 20-30€) and an iO Series 9. (They didn't compare it to, for example, an iO Series 3, 4, or 5, logical... to sell more iO Series 9). They make people 1000% influence the world to sell trashy characteristics.
Pure theft.
I recommend readers to go for iO Series 3 or 5.
- I recommend iO 3 IF you don't want to use the brushing monitoring app.
- I recommend iO 5 IF you want to use the brushing monitoring app.
(because the tracking feature via the app is supported by iO 5 and above models (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10).
Even in the comparison iO 5 vs iO 6 there is NO difference. The LED screen changes and the Super Sensitive setting translates to Gum Care. We're talking about marketing trickery.
Not to mention the extra +2 functions in the 9 and 10 models. (Compared to 5, 6, 7, and 8).
The difference between iO 8 and iO 9 is the +1 extra function for tongue cleaning (you pay +30€) which you can do tongue cleaning with a switched-off toothbrush or even with the gentlest function (the initial theft).
Quality/price ratio = 1/5 (I wish I could give it 0/5 in this rating - everything else is 5/5)
Value your money and don't throw it away so easily. Shame.

Excellent toothbrush, expensive but worth its money. The cleanliness it offers to the mouth is incredible. Battery satisfactory enough, easy to use and nice application.
It is the best thing that has been released, it cleans incredibly well, the battery lasts a long time, and the charging is fast, spare parts are available everywhere. Also, the ability to choose programs is incredibly convenient, and the pressure sensor is incredibly useful.
I have been using Oral B electric toothbrushes for two decades. From the Vitality to the SMART 5000, 7000, and most recently the Genius X. In my opinion, the iO generation represents the greatest evolution among all the series I mentioned earlier. The feeling I have when using it is that it works very differently from previous generations. It seems to be more based on vibration rather than rotation compared to the previous ones. It seems to clean better and deeper. For those who do not want the extra features of the iO9, you can easily achieve the same result with the iO6. Its price is still very high even now that it has been significantly reduced compared to the original. I hope it lasts longer than the Genius X, which stopped working after just three years of use. Its battery life is close to the promised two weeks. Its construction is sturdy and the finish is simply good, without being particularly luxurious. It comes with only one replacement brush head, something that in the past was unthinkable even for cheaper devices.
It may be expensive but it's worth its money!! I had been using the simple Oral-B toothbrushes that cost 35-50 euros for years and I was relatively satisfied. With this one, from the very first use, you realize that it is much better and you notice the results from the very first time!! It's worth its money at 170€ that I bought it!!
First time in my life using an electric toothbrush. It was recommended to me by a dentist friend.
I can say that my first brushing was mediocre. Of course, all new things take time to learn. I feel that the pressure it requires is excessive for me, I feel like it's drilling into my brain. I feel like it's damaging my teeth. Of course, the brush head is very hard, I saw that there is a softer one available.
Time will tell. Otherwise, it is very high quality.

The toothbrush is incredible. After my last appointment with the dentist (6 months ago), I haven't seen any plaque on my teeth. I didn't believe it was so efficient. I highly recommend it, 2 minutes of truly deep cleaning. It is exactly what the description says and the battery easily lasts me a week.

And on both sides, the first sticker out of the 2 was torn (meaning the packaging had been opened), and the second sticker was sealed on top. Draw your own conclusions. So, I went to 3 other stores that offer quite low prices and found exactly the same thing with 5 packages. Even the employees didn't know about it and were surprised. Then I went to a large well-known chain store that had the toothbrush at a much higher price than usual, and I found 1 round sticker on the right and 1 on the left without any signs of tampering. There was no second sticker above the first one. I can't know why this happens, I leave it to your judgment. Now, regarding the device and comparing it to the previous toothbrush, the vitality, I noticed a huge difference. Much less noise, excellent speed, and cleaning of the brush head, and the accessories are very good, as with the travel case, you don't need to take the base. It charges from the case! I haven't tried the Bluetooth yet. Perhaps the only downside is that the size of the device is a bit bulkier than I would like. If someone can't afford to spend so much money or doesn't want the extra features that don't really differentiate the device much, they just need to get the 6 or 7 series, which are a good value for money.
Excellent toothbrush that cleans teeth very well. The only drawback is the application, with the guidance system that often shows the wrong quadrant and requires some familiarity, for example, you have to move the toothbrush slowly from tooth to tooth. Update 2025: after two years or so, I am experiencing the battery issue as well, meaning it shows 50% and when you turn it on, it resets to zero, resulting in needing a charge. Minus one star.
