Description

The game begins with a judge, known as the "Card Czar", selecting a black question or blank card from the top of the deck and showing it to all players. 

Each player holds ten white answer cards at the beginning of each round and gives a closed card (sometimes two) to the Card Czar representing their answer to the question on the card. 

The Card Czar determines which answer card is the funniest in the context of the question or blank card. The player who submitted the selected card(s) receives the question card representing an "Awesome Point", and then the player to the left of the Card Czar becomes the new Card Czar for the next round. 

The game continues until the players agree to stop, at which point the player with the most Awesome Points is the winner.

This, so far, sounds like the popular and quite harmless Apples to Apples. While the games are similar, the sense of humor required is very different. The game encourages players to engage with almost every awkward or taboo topic, including race, religion, gender, poverty, torture, alcoholism, drugs, sex (yes, yes), abortions, child abuse, celebrities, and those everyday "I was just expecting a burp and vomited on the floor" moments.

Additionally, there are some more rules. First, some question cards are "Pick 2" cards, which require each participant to submit two cards consecutively to complete their answer. Second, there is also an element of luck. If a question is played that a player believes has two possible winning answers, they can bet an Awesome Point to play a second answer. If the player who took the risk wins, they keep the point, but if they lose, the player who contributed the winning answer gets both points.
