Aesthetically, it looks low quality, like most tools from this company, but practically it is flawless. Durable... after months of use, very little rust, essentially none, the black color protects it.

Experientially, all flat shovels are superior to the round or pointed ones. Although the pointed ones have their uses and are more convenient sometimes.

It is also a flat shovel, meaning it doesn't look exactly like it does in the photo; you can step on it normally, of course, it isn't flat, but slightly curved. It has lifted tons, has been hammered and stepped on with all the weight so many times, and it still doesn't budge from the wood at all. As it is designed, I don't think it will ever move like some flimsy shovels. (EDIT* after 1+ year it does move, but not much. It doesn't bother you and you don't notice it.)
