The adapter does not work with small resolutions, which means that you can not enter the BIOS, you see a black screen. But with HD resolution everything works. Although I have another, exactly the same adapter and it works fine with all resolutions.

I used the HDMI2VGA converter to transfer image from my LAPTOP to a PROJECTOR... easy to use, the image quality is quite satisfactory - for lecture use. It also has a port for audio cable, which, however, needs to be purchased separately.
