OK and just for the idea, 5 stars. It is essentially a specialization of Tetris with the purpose of learning shape usage.
I didn't go crazy about it...
But I would gladly play it several more times since it is very fast to set up, easy to explain, and doesn't burn your brain.
Ideal for vacations, as it requires minimal space on the table
How addictive can a game be where you fill in boxes on a map and try to earn points at the end? The cartographer will answer you. For this game, I thought there was a lot of fuss about nothing. In the end, I'm looking to get the sequel, Heroes.
Tip: use 5 colored pencils instead of a pencil. It will elevate the game!
Well, the game is excellent. It takes the idea of Tetris and takes it 10 steps further. High quality, well-designed, beautiful cards, easy to learn, infinite replayability. Awesome concept, awesome result!!!
I did not expect that a tabletop game with only pencil, paper, and a few cards would be so interesting even in solo games. Our mission as cartographers is as follows: to map the kingdom's area by adding villages, farms, rivers, but also monsters that appear through ambushes and hinder our work. Starting from Spring and ending in Winter, we shape the lands taking into account the queen's requirements for each season, trying to secure as many fame stars as we can for our work. Easy, fast, understandable rules (only the scoring confused me a little at first). Enjoyable company in free time for some solo games!
Excellent game in a "small" size but absolute VFM from Kaissa. Its special interest and remarkable difference lie in the Grid Coverage and Line Drawing mechanisms it possesses, or in simpler words, it has the basic character of Tetris. Suitable for ages 9-10 and possibly for "advanced" players from the age of 8.
