The operation of portable air conditioners does not differ from that of conventional air conditioners. Their main difference lies in their construction. While conventional air conditioners consist of two parts, the indoor and outdoor units, portable air conditioners integrate both units into a single device.
Additionally, they need to expel air into the environment through a duct. For this reason, they come with a flexible hose that can be adapted to a window, balcony door, or even a wall with an opening.

The product does its job, but it certainly has all the flaws of portable air conditioners. That is:
1. Too much noise. It’s not suitable for a bedroom if you plan to sleep. 65 db is just a little better than a vacuum cleaner.
2. Low performance. All (as far as I know) portable air conditioners are at 9000 BTU, so they are good for a bedroom, not for a living room. Unless you point it to blow air directly on you, then it’s okay. But if you want to watch TV... you still have the noise issue. You’ll have to turn up the TV or use some headphones.
3. Low efficiency. Unless you have some special hole for the exhaust hose, you’ll need to have a window somewhat open for the hot air to escape (if you have it set to cool). Don’t try to compress the hose too much, because the machine will "choke" and the compressor will stop working (so no cool air until you properly open the hose).
Other than that, all functions except cooling don’t make sense because:
Heating: Imagine trying to heat a room with the window open. Difficult and additionally, it will be very noisy. Better to get a space heater (much less noise). Even better, a mica heater. Completely silent and very good warmth.
Dehumidifying: I don’t know if it’s good for dehumidifying, but it’s definitely not worth listening to the noise and it doesn’t even have a water collection tank... how good can it be?
Fan: A funny thing. The air that comes out has no power; any fan is 1000 times better.
If it’s worth anything, it’s for the cooling. Because, let’s face it, with all the flaws I found, it saved me from the hot bedroom, where I preferred to sleep with the noise rather than not sleep at all from the heat...
unfortunately , this AC is not a quality item, it does make my small room cold - yes , but the rest is bad : super noisy, shakes a lot, also description is not true, it only have one normal air filter, basic one:( I really wish I can return it, but it's middle of the summer and I work from home, I can't wait to return and get different one:(... my fault - it's better to add extra money and buy a different company - with all the real whistles and extras:(

Very efficient in both cooling and heating. It covers a large room and the door remains slightly open because the hose is flexible and can be "compressed". Anyway, it is good for the door to remain slightly open for every air conditioner. It is easily portable to any room in the house. It is worth its money!
