The third time I tried to open it, it simply wouldn't open and everything was flashing. After contacting technical support and doing everything they asked without fixing the printer, they then asked me to connect it with a cable that was not included in the package and that I would have to buy. So not only did I pay and don't have a printer, but I also have to buy a cable on top of that! It's a shame because I had a good opinion of HP. Just tragic! I have had the printer for about 6 months. I have made very few prints. I got it to replace the 2645 All in One.
No comparison between them. The 2645 had a control panel for options such as Copy, Print, Scan, and other choices.
Once it was connected, you could select SCAN from the panel without opening the relevant hp application, which the 4120 does not do.
The accompanying inks are a joke. The hp original ones are expensive for 100 pages of printing. There are also hp original XL inks. They are extremely expensive for the promised printing pages.
Imagine that in China and Europe, compatible XL inks exceed 18-20 euros!
Black and white printing is relatively good. Color printing is slow, I would say. The SCAN function is slower than the hp 2645 printer.
Finally, if someone does not have many requirements and needs occasional printing, it can cover their needs. However, they should also do market research for this budget!

I have had the printer for about half a year and fortunately it has not caused me major problems compared to the reviews I read. Generally, I didn't have many demands, I use it sporadically for printing or scanning. I don't have a big issue with printing, although sometimes the application (which doesn't have the best interface) lags or freezes, even the printer itself, and doesn't print. It has happened to me twice with the printer and to solve it, I simply unplugged it and plugged it back in, and then it worked normally. I have a bigger issue with scanning because it is done at very slow speeds, meaning it can take up to 5 minutes for one page, and recently it may even give me a notification that the scan was unsuccessful, without any specific reason, resulting in having to scan it a couple more times. Also, one last thing, I confirm what others have said, that the ink cartridges are expensive and run out quickly.

Machine carpet that suddenly broke 3 years after I bought it (I hadn't used it in the last 9 months in the meantime). It also has expensive inks compared to the pages you print, you have to register in the HP application (which has a lousy interface) which crashes frequently and requires you to log in, slow printing.

I should have bought a Brother laser instead of this machine with so much money I have spent on inks, don't be fooled by its low price

The worst thing that can happen to you. You want to print and it jams the paper. Will it work or the same thing again? It unplugs to calm down and starts over. If possible. Stay away from this product.

Relatively good, but it has very expensive ink with few pages. I wouldn't prefer something like this again. The prints in fast printing are awful!

Installation on win7x64, I have never seen a worse program. The "doctor" that HP supposedly has refers to a non-existent page (404) and even though it detects the device, it does not install the drivers... the worst thing I have encountered so far...

The worst thing I have ever bought in my life. It doesn't connect to my computer and it constantly disconnects. Whenever it wants, it communicates with the computer and I have generally the worst things to say. In the first week, it got stuck and I talked to HP and they told me that their strategy has changed and they no longer replace the machines with new ones and they brought me a supposedly repaired... new one, that's what they call it now!!!! Be very careful, guys, if you have even a small problem with the internet, avoid it!!!!!!

Very slow scanning...it heats up and stops.... Without the intervention of technical support, there was no way I could install it. I am not satisfied at all!

I have had this particular machine for a year now, and now in order to print after 1-2 days without use, it is necessary to perform a power cycle, otherwise the computer does not recognize the printer even though the connection is via USB. Additionally, the HP software is slow and poorly made, and it requires login and another 15 clicks just to perform a simple scan. As for the ink, we don't need to say much, it's the classic policy of big companies in the field - Give 'em the razor; sell 'em the blades.

Is the machine good to say? Two stars and many for the HP application that requires registration to do a simple scan. Forced to use HP app because the Windows 10 scan loses connection because it is connected via wifi regularly. As a machine, it works fine but the applications have issues in my opinion. Compared to the Windows scan, it opens up to ten times slower. One star for HP and its practice because it is confirmed that the machine works but the scan only through its app.

Complex installation, but it won't give you a hard time since everything slides easily. It has good and fast printing for its category. The build quality is good for its price. I am satisfied so far.
Update. After light use of 7-8 months, I have to say that I would NOT buy it again. Every now and then it stops responding and asks you to print the information page, which, however, consumes ink and counts towards the total number of pages you have paid for. It becomes ridiculous because you buy ink to constantly print irrelevant information. Furthermore, although they sent me ink according to the program, the printouts are terrible, and in the information (which, I remind you, you print) it tells me that I have not used genuine ink!!! Scanning has stopped! Disgraceful.
