I wanted a charger that could charge my new laptop (its charger - with a "pin" connector - was 45W at 19.5V), my mobile phone (requiring 2.4A at 5V for fast charging), and my tablet (which I mainly use for TV through the subscription platform app and also requires 2.4A at 5V to charge faster than it drains - as these live streaming applications are "power-hungry"), all at the same time, and occasionally another device (e.g. Bluetooth headphones), and to have it in my laptop bag so that wherever I am, I only need to take out one charger for everything.
I chose this specific charger because on the one hand, I have bought several things from this brand (for those who don't know it, it is Chinese, but one of the GOOD Chinese brands - and that's why its products are not what we call "cheap"), and on the other hand, its specifications met my needs.
I should note that, for some reason I don't know, the company has not included the EU version of the charger on its website, but only the one with the "American" plug, the one with the 2 "blades" (http://www.baseus.com/product-914?lang=en-us).
However, the version of the charger with the "European" plug is available on their YouTube channel (https://youtu.be/-HtUecz5ezI).
Regarding the full specifications of the product, I have attached a photo from the charger's manual, as they are not mentioned on the company's website in this detail.
I should note that a one-meter cable is included in the package, which is type C and reversible, and can handle 5A and support full power (100W). This is particularly positive as cheap type C cables are only for charging mobile phones and not laptops, while cables like the one included are not particularly cheap... The only "strange" thing is that the packaging stated that the cable was white, but it was black. Personally, I didn't mind at all, as I wanted it to be black!
Also, I should note that this charger supports any charging protocol you can imagine, for any type of device, and incorporates the latest version of the new GaN technology, which involves a new type of semiconductor material made from gallium nitride, which offers greater thermal conductivity, radiation resistance, and higher resistance to high temperatures compared to silicon semiconductors. This has allowed it to be particularly compact in size, but also relatively lightweight.
The initial impressions are particularly positive. The build quality of the charger (as well as the cable) is beyond criticism, which was expected for me, as all the products I have bought from this company are of very high quality.
Of course, it does heat up if you "load" it with many devices at the same time, or if it has to charge a device that has high current demands, but it doesn't heat up to the point where you would say it's "overheating" (you can comfortably hold it), and it is also reasonable for it to heat up since everything is "packed" into very small proportions, but this shouldn't worry you.
The charging it provides is indeed what its specifications claim (the laptop notifies me if the charger is not performing like its own, and the mobile phone also charged quickly, as it indicated to me), and overall, I did not encounter any problems.
I highly recommend it, while I would suggest getting the relevant 2-meter cable (https://us.baseus.com/p/baseus-cafule-series-metal-data-cable-type-c-to-type-c-100w-57) because on the one hand, in order for the 1-meter cable to be convenient for your laptop, the socket should be very close (and we all know that this usually doesn't happen), and on the other hand, so that you don't have to deal with high-demand cables again (you will understand this from its specifications and durability).
UPDATE 12/8/23
The charger continues to work perfectly, just like when I bought it. I make sure to take care of it, as when I'm not using it, I keep it in its own "hard" case (internally, of course, it has a soft lining), and I have absolutely no complaints. If I needed a charger with these characteristics today, I would still choose this one.
UPDATE 28/11/23
The charger continues to work without any problems. Indeed, when you connect a new device to it, and there are already devices connected to the other ports, it momentarily stops and restarts the power supply to them (I saw others write about this), but at least for me, this doesn't bother me. I assume (without being an expert on this) that it does this for power redistribution based on the number of devices it has connected and the power requirements of each one. The cable you use also matters, if you use a cable that costs one or two euros and you don't see a "fast" charging indication, it is something expected, it's not the charger's fault.
At first, it made a high-frequency sound. Then this sound would sometimes be loud and sometimes low. Eventually, the charger caught fire. It made a mess in the house, and fortunately, I was there. I don't know what would have happened. Especially for my pet. It's a shame that such products are allowed on the market. Of course, the store is not to blame, but the product itself.
I just received the charger and it is wonderful, and it even comes with a charging cable although it says it is without a cable. It is also small in size for easy transport.
Very good charger and it delivers the amount of Watts it says, verified! Used for charging MacBook and iPhone. The only thing I could say as an observation is the size and weight of it but again, for so many ports it has and so many Watts, it's worth it!
For a Gan charger, it is a bit large but it is sturdy and has quality materials. Don't expect to charge with fast protocols for phones like Xiaomi Honor Huawei. It will charge them with fast charging. I give it 4 stars because when charging with 100W, my Anker Prime 27500 Powerbank raises temperatures like planet Mars!! I can't touch it after a few minutes. I don't think the poor little charger will last long with such temperatures. Also, where they placed the plug on the edge, when you plug it into a power strip, it turns the power strip due to its weight. They should have placed the plug in the middle and not on the edge in my opinion, to distribute its weight properly.
Great charger. I charge my iPhone 14 Pro Max with USB C, laptop with 65watt, power bank, and airpods simultaneously.
The only downside is that I accidentally broke it once and the bottom cover opened, I fixed it with a little b7000 glue and it's been fine since then.
It charges the MacBook 14" M1 Max with 100watt, if you connect other devices it automatically reduces power to the MacBook to charge the other devices.
Within two months, it stopped working. Tragic for such a company. The most wasted money I spent
Very good charger. I bought it as the main charger for my MacBook Pro 60W along with the Baseus Magnetic Type-C Cable T-shaped 60W. It charges the computer perfectly without any delays and without heating up (at all). Usually, it is connected to a 25W mobile phone and occasionally a small speaker in the USB port, which it charges simultaneously without any issues. It doesn't have any problems with the larger MacBook Pro 16, although I prefer to use the official chargers.
After 18 months of relentless use, it broke. It was returned to the e-shop where it was purchased, and although the amount was refunded, I bought the same charger again.
USB-C to USB-C on Xiaomi 12X does not charge with its own turbo charge cable, only with a regular fast charge. On the USB A port, it charges with the Xiaomi cable using turbo charge, but not at MAX 67. Even with the 100W Baseus USB-C to USB-C cable, it still does not charge with turbo charge. I don't know what the problem is, I see others complaining about slow charging as well, so there seems to be something wrong with the USB-C ports or mine is defective.
As soon as I connect the Mi9 Lite for charging with a type c to type c cable, the first time it caused a short circuit and almost burned the TV. After many charges, the phone often starts charging every two seconds. As soon as I change the cable by flipping it upside down (which normally doesn't play any role in type c), it charges normally.
Every time you connect a new device, it stops and restarts the ones you already have connected.
After one year of use, one USB-A stopped working.
When it was already charging two devices with relatively high W (macbook and iPhone) and then I connected the watch, it didn't recognize it and I had to disconnect everything, connect the watch first, and then the rest, in order for them to charge simultaneously.
Quality-wise, it is good, but like all other chargers on the market, the wattage output is shared if you charge more than one device, so we still end up with multiple charging devices
Excellent charger, does what it says!
Charges a 60W laptop and an 18W mobile simultaneously without any problem, it does get warm but within normal limits.
Takes up minimal space and charges whatever I have plugged into it.
And of course, like all chargers, it works with the appropriate cables, otherwise it won't deliver the necessary watts.
If we try to charge our laptop or mobile with a cable from Jumbo, it will never charge correctly, just because the plugs are the same doesn't mean that all USB cables are the same!
Although it already comes with a one-meter USB-C to USB-C cable that works perfectly with the 60W laptop, I bought two three-meter cables of 100W and I charge everything with them in the right times.
If the price drops and I need a second charger, 99% I will buy the same one.
From the quite good chargers I have, I will get another one. It charges exactly the same as the 65W Xiaomi charger, which is indeed a great charger and has the advantage of recognizing more charging protocols, of course with the corresponding cable. It does get a little warm, which is normal, but not to the point of boiling (after all, modern semiconductors have very good thermal behavior and minimal thermal losses). Now, one negative thing I will mention, which applies to many things on the market, is the cable that accompanies it. I won't deduct a star, of course, because it doesn't concern the device or the quality of the cable, but its length. I don't think it would cost them anything to include a slightly longer cable. For manufacturers, this doesn't cost absolutely anything... anyway. Small downside
Guys, just by the weight alone you can tell it's a serious construction. It's not Chinese. It's worth its money and it delivers on its promises. [Update] One year later (9-5-24) it remains the same with excellent currents, and it has never been unplugged
Unfortunately, it cannot charge the external monitor (ThinkVision m14) and then power the computer (ThinkPad). It sees it as a lower voltage charger. It works fine with the charger that came with the computer, but I bought this one for a more compact size. 60 euros wasted...
The best charger I have bought lately. It has many different charging ports, so you can charge any device you have. Additionally, it is very powerful and delivers the fast charging it promises.
A first look.
Purchased on 10/11/2022 at a price of €59.
With the first touch, holding the package, you feel its weight and having it in your hands, you understand its solidity and quality. In addition, the charging times are as expected, like the company charger. The temperatures are normal for up to 2 devices (mobiles) that I have used so far. The package includes a Type C - Type C cable, a bit short but it does the job. There is a 2-year warranty.
Until today, I am very satisfied and I highly recommend it.
Impressive, it charges the laptop at 100 Watts just for fun, slightly raising the temperature but I don't think it's significant
The only negative is the LED it has, which shines brighter at night than a night light...
It charges super fast charging 3 mobile phones SIMULTANEOUSLY without raising the temperature.
Guys, no, it charges the same amount of time as a 25w Samsung charger... don't waste your money on this product
