Description

Complete nasal irrigation system with device and salt packets for cleaning the nasal cavity.

Benefits

  • The Athomer Nasal Irrigation System is a natural therapeutic method for cleaning the nasal cavity.
  • It contains a specially designed device for nasal mucosa irrigation and 10 sachets of Athomer salt. 
  • During use, saline water is poured from one nostril and flows out from the other. The entire nasal cavity is rinsed, and the user has full control over the pressure-flow, allowing them to adjust it according to their needs.

It can be used:

  • Postoperatively.
  • During colds and flu, to facilitate breathing.
  • When there is a feeling of pressure in the sinuses or postnasal drip.
  •  By users of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) devices with sleep apnea and snoring.
  • Preventively to reduce symptoms of allergies from dust, animal hair, grass, pollen, smoke, etc.

Usage Instructions

  • If you are using the device for the first time, wash each part with soap and rinse carefully with water. 
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and then fill the bottle up to 250ml with distilled water or alternatively with tap water that you have boiled for 5 minutes to sterilize it.
  • Use 1 ATHOMER sachet to create an Isotonic solution or 2 ATHOMER sachets for a Hypertonic solution and shake well with the cap hole closed. 
  • Wait until the solution becomes lukewarm and then use it.
  • Bend over the sink and tilt your head to one side.
  • Place the bottle's nozzle in the nostril and gently squeeze the bottle until it starts to flow out of the opposite nostril.
  • As you squeeze the bottle, keep your mouth open and breathe (through the mouth) normally throughout the nasal wash.
  • Continue the gentle pressure on the bottle until 120ml is used for adults and 60ml for children.
  • Follow the same usage instructions for the opposite nostril.
  • Immediately after the wash, tilt your head alternately to the right and left to drain the remaining solution from the nasal cavities and then gently blow your nose.

    It does a very good job. It fits perfectly on the nose and pushes everything out. Be careful with the pressure at the beginning of use, as if the nose is completely blocked, it hurts the ear. I don't know if it can cause damage.

    After a diaphragm surgery and cauterization of the sinuses, I had to use 5-6 packets a day in order to remove mucus, etc. from my nose. Until 2 weeks after the surgery, it had results, cleaning whatever residue was in the nose, etc., and everything was fine. Once the nose was fully restored, it didn't have as much effectiveness. It simply helps moisturize the nose and make the removal of mucus easier.

    PROS: If you have a completely blocked nose, it won't do anything. It's not a decongestant, etc.

    I would buy it again if I had a little congestion so that my nose would be cleaned more easily.
