The Franke company's vent hood, with an energy class A rating, is installed in a cabinet and only the part of the hood containing the filters slides out.
The maximum suction power is 560 m³/h, which can adequately cover spaces up to 19 square meters (with a height of 2.85 meters).
The air drawn by the hood is expelled from the house through a pipe, cleaning the atmosphere in the kitchen. It uses metal filters, which can be removed and washed in the dishwasher or by hand. Additionally, they do not need frequent replacement.

The previous extractor was also a Franke. It worked for 22 years. It was one of the criteria for choosing the new one.
The new extractor:
Its positives:
- Its metal filters are purely metal. Important, because plastic ones get damaged in the dishwasher. In the old one, the handles used to remove (and reattach) were plastic.
- Less noisy
- Takes up less space in the cabinet
- Better suction capacity (expected due to the new motor)
Its negatives:
- Its construction is fake, nothing like the old one.
- Only the front part is stainless steel. The other metals are just painted. The old one had the entire bottom made of stainless steel.
- The switch that adjusts the suction speed often does not "sit" properly in the selected position, resulting in it turning off. This happens at all settings. One has to move it slightly to the right or left to make contact. Unacceptable.
- The assembly of the upper part (contains the motor, white color) with the lower part (lights, filters, gray color) was problematic: at one of the four points, the distance between the two elements was "hanging" a few millimeters. It could not be fixed.
- The lower part (gray) makes an arc ("hangs") after installation, a result of cheaper construction. It can be corrected if one screws the non-sliding part to the cabinet (using the existing holes that the extractor has from the wooden packaging supports).
- The installation manual is one of the worst available.
It was installed on 11/18/2024. We will see how its operation goes.
Great product! We have used it only a few times, but it works really well, the house which is kitchen and living room together, does not smell at all when we are cooking. It was one of the few that had a high suction but also class B in the oils, which means that it holds oils from frying really well, not allowing spells to travel within the house.
Lighting is perfect, it is very beautiful overall. The only downside of the product is that the installation box above is quite big compared to other products, so if you want to have more space on the top cupboard maybe it is not the best choice (I have a lot of space in the cupboards, so I did not mind this at all)
Very good quality overall, worth the money!
