We have it delivered to our house. Apart from toast, we saved frying because we grill burgers and any other meat we want to grill healthily without oil. The meat has a wonderful taste, much faster than frying, without oil. The only inconvenience is cleaning the plates because after each use (because we grill meats) it needs to be washed with hot water and soap, and all the fats and smells come off from the soft side of the sponge. It goes without saying that it is worth every penny and it is extremely convenient.

The plates are made of thin aluminum that does not heat evenly, and at intensity setting 5, they burned the toast. The plastic hinges do not seem to hold up well. I would not choose it again.

It has gone twice out of warranty for service as there was a leak causing the relay to drop, resulting in me having to pay to change the resistors both times. Now it is happening for the third time. As a result, what you have put on the edges doesn't cook at the same time as what is in the center. Also, it definitely needs oil or grease on top and bottom of the food, otherwise it sticks and is not easily cleaned in general.

That is, we clean it well from crumbs and food residues. We do not handle it violently to maximize its performance (some mentioned that the plastic hinges did not withstand... I imagine someone forced it enough). An important advantage is the removable plates (you put them in the dishwasher and you don't have to worry). 4/5 stars because I would like a slightly better build quality and a more precise (maybe even clicky) thermostat button.

I put 2 burgers in, the juices were all draining properly onto the plates, and at some point I realized they weren't cooking anymore. In my haste, I didn't notice that the light wasn't turning on.
