The Kenwood HG210 Sandwich Maker/Grill features removable ridged plates with a specially designed surface to drain away fat, offering healthy grilling and ease of cleaning. It has 3 grilling positions, including a 180º opening.
The grilling surface has a non-stick coating made from material suitable for direct contact with food.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
We have it delivered to our house. Apart from toast, we saved frying because we grill burgers and any other meat we want to grill healthily without oil. The meat has a wonderful taste, much faster than frying, without oil. The only inconvenience is cleaning the plates because after each use (because we grill meats) it needs to be washed with hot water and soap, and all the fats and smells come off from the soft side of the sponge. It goes without saying that it is worth every penny and it is extremely convenient.
Overall, it is a good toaster with removable plates but unfortunately, the plastic hinges break and it is not repairable at all. For these reasons, it is not worth the money it asks for.
Guys, it is simply wonderful, at least for the toasties and chicken schnitzel that I have tried. The truth is that I bought it because my mom has the same one, my two sisters, and my cousin, and they told me how satisfied they are. I highly recommend it!
the best toaster ever for its price. I have bought it 3 times. The first two had a problem with the on-off switch after 4-5 years of use. Nevertheless, I wouldn't change it.
Difficult to clean and the quality of the tiles is not the best. Specifically, if you receive it and it has marks.. But it is quite large and convenient.
The worst toaster. It has broken 3 times in 5 years. Once the cord, once the heating element, and another time something else. Unfortunately, it's not worth it
The best of all! Reliable, withstands heavy use (3 boys who eat constantly) and fits everything. I had this one before and it lasted 7 years cooking everything for everyone! I got this one now, and I will get it again (if needed). Highly recommended, especially for those who have children.
Quite good but in 4 years of use it burned twice and in both cases the resistors. The first time I went to a technician and he fixed it, the second time I will simply buy another one
I was not satisfied. During the first two uses, the toaster emitted smoke from the holes and smelled like burnt plastic. The plates are made of thin aluminum that does not heat evenly, and at intensity setting 5, they burned the toast. The plastic hinges do not seem to hold up well. I would not choose it again.
Do not throw your money on this toaster. It has gone to service once within warranty as the thermostat was not working. It has gone twice out of warranty for service as there was a leak causing the relay to drop, resulting in me having to pay to change the resistors both times. Now it is happening for the third time. Of course, it will go straight to the trash now. There is no more defective toaster. Better one for 15 euros, and if it breaks, you throw it straight away
value4money it is. But now none is as quality as those of the previous 10 years that our parents & uncles had.... unfortunately we have to accept this and move on!
the GRILL toaster is actually 1800W like other brands and not 2100W as they write for you to know....... proof that the resistances are 2 x 900W = 1800W!
of course it grills satisfactorily I would say.
for those who want let them search for: PHILIPS-KW 900W/115V
they will find that it is for KENW... DELON.... (same company) & PHIL... & BSP (BOS... SIEM... PITS...)
I have had it for 4 years but although it cooks very well, my complaint is that the hinges broke quickly. As a result, it doesn't close properly and you have to try for a while to get it right. And at some point, the cable didn't make good contact, I had to move it to find a position for it to work. For its price and the company, I expected something much better with durability over time!
The sensitive point of it is the hinges.
They are plastic and fake, unfortunately other well-known brands have almost the same ones.
Get some with metallic ones.
It's not worth its money!
If you bought it or plan to buy it, open the package carefully and keep the receipt for the warranty, you will probably need it.
I had it years ago, excellent grilling. However, due to its weight, the sandwiches came out flattened. It burned twice, so I took it for service. After that, I didn't bother anymore. I wouldn't recommend it.
After almost 2 years of having it at home, with daily use and not only for sandwiches, I have to say that it's worth its money BUT.. it requires attention in placement, especially for steaks, schnitzels, burgers, etc., because it doesn't cook uniformly in all areas. As a result, what you have put on the edges doesn't cook at the same time as what is in the center. Also, it definitely needs oil or grease on top and bottom of the food, otherwise it sticks and is not easily cleaned in general.
Very big but the plates are made of metal and I'm not like the cast iron ones, I say this because the previous one I had was cast iron and it cooked better
We have had it for two years. It is essentially a toaster - grill. We have taken care of it and it has rewarded us. That is, we clean it well from crumbs and food residues. We do not handle it violently to maximize its performance (some mentioned that the plastic hinges did not withstand... I imagine someone forced it enough). An important advantage is the removable plates (you put them in the dishwasher and you don't have to worry). 4/5 stars because I would like a slightly better build quality and a more precise (maybe even clicky) thermostat button.
After 2 years of daily use for sandwiches, we decided to use it as a grill. I put 2 burgers in, the juices were all draining properly onto the plates, and at some point I realized they weren't cooking anymore. In my haste, I didn't notice that the light wasn't turning on. Probably due to excessive usage, it likely burned out. The burgers ended up being slightly undercooked. However, it had been convenient for us as a sandwich maker, as it could fit 4 sandwiches.
We have had it for years, and its grilling is still very good, I must say. From sandwiches to souvlaki and sausages... there are minor damages after so many years, but I believe it's logical
I bought this and followed the first use instructions.
I washed the plates, they dried, and I plugged it in at 5.
After 5 minutes, it started to emit smoke like it was burnt and filled the whole house.
After the third time, it stopped and cooked very well.
I have it and I use it daily for 5 years now. I have grilled everything from sandwich with leavened bread to vegetables, bacon, and burgers. I believe it grills very well if someone knows how to use it. It is a sandwich maker, not a grill at a barbecue place!!! I read various things here and I wonder what some people have done to make it burn or not cook the food properly.
It has more than earned its money. If some people have encountered damages, I believe it is either due to user error or the specific piece was defective.
It is worth its money and I would buy the same one again.
I had it for 2 years and decided to grill pork chops. They didn't have enough time to cook properly and due to the fat dripping, the heating element burned out and it never worked again. It was great for making toast.
The warranty was used and repaired twice because it stopped working. Eventually, it was replaced with another one from a different company and finally we have a toaster. Unacceptable product from Kenwood
It grills everything from sandwiches (fits 6) to steak (requires a little patience). You won't regret this purchase.
It is a very good device. I mainly use it for sandwiches and toast.
It cooks them perfectly and evenly. If you set it to 1, it is reasonable to expect to wait for an hour for them to be ready.
I haven't cooked meats, etc., so I don't know what happens in that case.
I have no issues with the build quality. It has been working flawlessly for 3 years.
I give it 4 stars because the temperature dial could be of better quality
In the 2nd month of use, the color near the handles and on the top and bottom side of the toaster bubbled up and rusted.
Furthermore, the drainage holes are shallow and without inclination, resulting in the fat and juices from the meat overflowing and running everywhere.
It cooks well, but it takes a long time for the toast and has a large capacity.
I have it for 1 year now. Quite satisfied.
It grills quite well. Mainly we grill sandwiches,
bread, and vegetables.
It cleans easily.
Excellent choice for the money ... Quality, easy to use with removable plates ... large in size, which gives it comfort in grilling sandwiches, fish and even vegetables. It generally withstands, you see negative comments about safety, etc., but because I worked in an electrical goods store, the safety is to blame in most cases. It is very rare for it to be defective. As for the breakages that I saw in the comments, I can also say from my experience with these devices that every time they brought a device for service, it was very dirty, which says a lot about how they took care of it and how they used it ... It's worth it, guys, don't think twice.
Quite good and very powerful. I have grilled everything from sandwiches to souvlaki. Everything grills perfectly. It might take a little longer for sandwiches, but if you forget about them, they might turn into charcoal. You need to be careful and have it on 2-3. It is bulky and heavy. It is easy to clean.
As soon as I plugged it in, it started emitting smoke from the top plate internally and smelling like burnt plastic.. It's a shame because it seemed good and from what I can see from the comments now, there is no stable quality in the product..
First of all, the bulb only appears dim in complete darkness, the thermostat button "plays" as if it's not its own, the plates are very thin and overall the construction does not remind of Kenwood but China. It's a shame for the name...
I bought it last February. In 8 months, it suddenly stopped working. I sent it to the company for repair from the store where I bought it. Everything was fine for a month. In the following month, the same thing happened again. I paid €59 and trusted the company's name. I consider that I wasted my money!!! I should add that its usage was limited, just one sandwich a day and very rarely some kebab. Simply UNACCEPTABLE!!!
