Its response to motion and person detection is satisfactory (you need to experiment a bit with sensitivity). The big negative for me is that you cannot download recordings from the SD card unless you have a connection to the imou cloud, which of course is at a good price (€3/month) compared to others (like Xiaomi for example), but for an outdoor camera where daily access to the card is likely not easy, it is a big drawback.

  I wanted to place a camera in a specific corner of the balcony, so that it would give me a view from multiple points and avoid buying, as well as the hassle of installing more than one camera. This one solved my problem, as it implements such a feature to the fullest! Plus, it has 3 preset positions, in which equal viewing angles can be stored, so that the camera can quickly rotate to the desired position with the press of a button, instead of using the virtual joystick of the app (which works perfectly fine as well)! Truly, extremely convenient! I have had it installed for 1 year now and it only had one disconnection, which was due to an upgrade of the app for some inexplicable reason. Otherwise, the image quality is very good (I have the 2MP version), the Wi-Fi is also very good, and overall, I am satisfied.

  The 1 star because the only way to save videos that it has recorded, and for them to be of good quality, is to remove the SD card. It is silly that in such a product you cannot easily export the videos. Also, in a recent update, the ability to export the video from the card became a premium service with monthly payment, just like every day it gives notifications for the day's security events, but again, premium and paid. I would never buy any product from imou again!!!
