I bought it as a toy for my 1.5-year-old baby, so that she can familiarize herself with holding a pen and with lines and drawings. This way, I don't worry about her getting dirty or putting something unhealthy in her mouth. It is also a more eco-friendly solution.
The tip is not sharp, but supervision is needed at this age.
It works well. No complaints. We have been erasing and writing continuously for 2 days now. It can be locked on a screen so that it doesn't accidentally erase, but you can still continue writing or drawing.

Dead on arrival :-/ The first bad omen was that the delete button, with the trash can icon, was installed upside down (!), meaning the trash can was depicted upside down compared to the image on the packaging. Then I tried to write a couple of words (mediocre result) and delete them by pressing that button: They wouldn't delete at all. I assumed it was the battery's fault, so I replaced it with a new one. Still nothing. It goes without saying that the fake notepad ended up where it belongs: in the trash.
