VERY GOOD but it does not connect to the other Xiaomi devices I have at home and on the network but only through GOOGLE HOME ...
EVEN THE SOFTWARE it has has nothing to do with the corresponding Chinese version, resulting in many capabilities being missing...
It does not connect to the Mi Home app. It is simply a copy of the Chinese version, which is clearly superior, as it can be connected through the Mi Home app and have complete control over your devices.
This specific one is only compatible with Google Home, where there are already more devices available and more reliable than this one.
I bought it because I had the impression that it would be compatible with the Mi Home servers, so that you can have full control over your devices. Unfortunately, control is limited only to the devices recognized by Google Home, which is minimal. And just to clarify, I have more than 67 Xiaomi devices, not just 2-3 bulbs to play with lights, so control through a hub is necessary.
Nice little gadget for the living room etc….. nice sound to wake up or listen to relaxing music. Pay attention…… to set it up without issues, the phone's language must be set to English because if it isn't, it gives an error. After the setup, you can switch your phone's language back to Greek and it works perfectly!!! The truth is that the Nest at the same price is far better.
It has a very powerful speaker, works perfectly with voice commands to play Spotify, check the weather, etc., and it works with voice for all the Govee LEDs I have and hears me almost throughout the whole house. Unfortunately, Xiaomi Home doesn't recognize it because it's not Chinese, and that's a shame, but overall it's a flawless little clock. Also, depending on the light, it adjusts brightness so that it can be seen without being disturbing at night accordingly.
It has been very convenient for me!
Positives
1. I no longer worry about setting the time since it updates itself via Wi-Fi even after a power outage.
2. I have many different alarms set for different days, with different sounds (just like you schedule an alarm on a mobile phone).
3. I get updates about traffic in my area and the weather.
4. I play music in the room - YouTube Music (it has very nice and loud sound).
5. I schedule alarms, notes, and reminders through the Google Voice Assistant (hey Google).
6. The screen brightness dims when I turn off the lights in the room (Perfect).
Negatives
1. The Mi Home and Google Home it connects to are a bit complicated, and it's not easy to do a lot from the mobile to the alarm clock and from the alarm clock to the mobile. For example, you can tell it to keep a note for you, but it throws it into a random folder on the mobile in Google Home, I think.
2. I don't have many other Xiaomi products to see if they are compatible, but generally, you can't, for example, display a camera from another manufacturer with Google Home on the alarm clock (e.g., if someone is at the door and rings the bell, you can't see them through the camera on the alarm clock)
The use I make of the watch is like a Central "dashboard" of my Smart Home.
POSITIVES
- Voice commands and many customizations. Once you start working with such a device, you won't be able to let go of it, as it frees up your hands!
- Beautiful wallpapers
- Weather
- Music (Spotify, YouTube Music)
NEGATIVES
- If it loses connection with WiFi, it freezes and requires a restart
- Its alarms could be connected to the mobile phone instead of going through all this process + they could have more customizations
- Its speaker is not very high-quality
- It doesn't offer many on-board options for smart devices
At this price (50€), it is truly a tool and I didn't regret it at all! It will free up your hands, you just need to know English!
It doesn't only do the job of a Smart Home, weather, clock, etc., it also does many other things, the only obstacle being your imagination! You can ask Google for math operations, get directions, ask it to find your phone, ask for information, try out Easter eggs - - Ok google, spooky me | Ok google, self distract -- and whatever else you can imagine!
It is another Xiaomi product that does its job well. Its setup is very easy. Its operating system is cut compared to the Chinese firmware. Time, weather, and Spotify are the main options in the menu. Otherwise, its capabilities as an assistant are endless. With the Home app, you can program many automatic routines. It doesn't disconnect, as some people claim. Its speaker is slightly worse than that of the Google speaker.
They write here that it constantly disconnects, but I still bought it. When you don't hear these things, you suffer. It disconnects 3-4 times a day for sure with the latest firmware. You can turn off one light, but only in the room where you put it (meaning you can't control all the lights). It is beautiful, I would say. Supposedly, it also has Google Assistant, which of course doesn't work (Xiaomi warranty). I have no previous experience with Xiaomi, nor did they eat my field (I don't even have a field), but it's not worth it, get something else
A digital alarm clock that cannot be managed with an application (e.g. setting or turning off the alarm). The connectivity is limited only to sound and video casting. There is no reason for spending so much money.
Poor screen quality. Unbelievable disconnections. Google Assistant speaks on its own during the night, resulting in me always keeping it on mute. I had to spend an extra 10 euros to switch to Google Nest
One of my best investments for my room! I placed it on the nightstand next to my bed. It does it all, music, weather, smart home control, and most importantly, Google Assistant. The only problem is that the assistant can't hear me well, I don't know if it's my pronunciation or the microphone quality. The speaker is good for a small room, but it lacks bass. It also has alarms, which help me a lot.
However, it is a cheap solution that does almost the same as its competitor, the Lenovo smart clock. If you have a bigger budget, buy the Google Nest Hub!
P.S. You may encounter problems with internet connection and it crashes when you skip too many songs on Spotify. It's a shame I didn't mention this earlier.
The watch is very beautiful and I really liked it in my space. I often play music from it and the sound is not bad. The assistant occasionally has some issues with connecting to Spotify, but it can be easily solved. It hasn't let me down on any morning wake-up call and I recommend it to anyone who wants a good, affordable, and beautiful watch for their space
At the price it is now, it is a pretty nice little alarm clock/smart speaker for the nightstand.
Its sound is slightly worse than a Google Home speaker, so don't expect to hear something amazing.
It has various interchangeable faces and different tabs for alarms, weather, Spotify.
With all the lights off, its brightness drops to a minimum and it doesn't bother at all if you sleep next to it.
It is Xiaomi, but it only connects to Google Home and can vocally control any device connected there.
I have had it for about a year and it hasn't had any issues. It is quite elegant, has various customization options for changing appearance, correctly accepts voice commands, and its speaker is satisfactory for its price.
Occasionally, about once a month, it loses connection to WiFi, if it doesn't find it on its own, I restart it.
A very nice gadget for the office. It is essentially a Google Assistant with a screen. However, this screen is not as useful as it sounds. For example, you cannot watch videos (from cameras or YouTube) and it does not show you photos if you ask the assistant to search for something. However, you can listen to music from YouTube and Spotify, as well as cast the sound from your mobile phone. You can check the weather and set an alarm with Google's smart features. It has some extras like a Nap Timer, Night Light, and you can also control your lights and devices from there. Additionally, the speaker it has is relatively powerful and has good sound, although you can also connect a Bluetooth speaker to it and play through the external speaker instead of the built-in one. It comes in a very nice box along with its power supply, which is 5V 2A and has a Micro USB port. The only downside is the lack of 5GHz WiFi, although for 30€ I shouldn't really complain about it. Definitely a better choice than the classic Google Assistant (due to the screen), although some settings are missing (such as EQ for the sound).
The quality of it is very good, minimal and aesthetically pleasing, as well as the sound being quite powerful, suitable for heavy sleepers. Among its positives are the ability to choose the days you want it to wake you up without needing to adjust it every day, and the fairly quick response to voice commands.
4 stars only because I would like the colors of the screen to be a little more vibrant to make it perfect.
After one year, it broke down. It seems like a bug in the touchscreen, sometimes it goes to the alarm, sometimes it changes the theme on its own, sometimes it restarts. And of course, the touchscreen is unresponsive. I tried resetting it but nothing happened.
I bought it a year ago and I have been very satisfied with it. The build quality is relatively good, although sometimes it reboots for no reason while I have power, which annoys me a little. It also doesn't easily change Wi-Fi and specific settings, which is a bit frustrating. However, overall it is an excellent purchase
Overall, a mediocre smartwatch. It is not highly customizable, has limited watch faces, and does not allow you to customize them as you wish, only to choose from the ones it has. Its screen is small and not easily visible, especially if you don't wear glasses while sleeping. It only accepts voice commands in English, and the Google assistant does not recognize Greek songs for any reason, but it has no problem with Greek pronunciation, it understands what you say.
I wouldn't say it's worth its price at 30 euros. It has not received any updates since its release, so the company itself has abandoned it. It does not have a battery to work without power. It is simply a smartwatch that accepts voice commands and shows the weather. That's why I bought it, and it does its job. It is simply an overpriced smartwatch that is really worth 20 euros. On the positive side, the screen brightness adjusts automatically according to the room lighting. It does not play videos or YouTube, not that you could see anything on such a small screen.
On the particularly negative side, when you connect it for the first time, you have to install Google apps on your phone and accept to give them permissions for personal data and advertising cookies. Of course, as soon as I set it up, I uninstalled all of them again, and it works without the apps on my phone. Unfortunately, it does not connect to other apps like Xiaomi Home, it only wants Google and the rest to be connected through it.
I got this particular product and the Greek version has nothing to do with the Chinese one, the Greek version has much fewer features. That's why you pay a little more and get the Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) which has a bigger screen and offers more options.
Apart from the fact that Google does not have the Greek language as an option, the product is perfect. It has many options for watch format and colors, the screen can dim in the dark to avoid disturbance, and in the morning it can inform you about everything you need to do, the weather, and the news! Hey Google! Good Morning!
Perhaps the only drawback I can find is that, because it is relatively light, it moves easily when I touch the screen.
I remind you that if you don't speak English, it will be quite challenging for you.
While at first I connected it to YouTube and gave it commands to play music, and it played without any problems and I was enjoying my life, suddenly it stopped and told me that it couldn't do that. Probably it requires premium. It doesn't make sense because even without premium, you can listen to whatever you want on YouTube. Additionally, it frustrates and annoys you because you have to set it up ten times before you figure out what's wrong. I connected it to free Spotify now, but it's not the same in terms of options. It could be perfect, but they always give you incomplete things and with a dropper, and it has already experienced a downgrade compared to the Chinese software as others have written. I haven't looked into it much, but if someone has solutions, please send them to me.
Everything is fine and with Google Assistant, but mine restarts many times and often if you don't unplug it from the power, it doesn't turn on by itself.
Another beautiful and smart product from Xiaomi. It just arrived yesterday... In the first brief test, especially in terms of sound, it has a very strong and nice construction and integrated Google Assistant with voice commands to control all your Xiaomi smart devices... For the money, it is worth it..!!! A beautiful and convenient smart alarm clock for the nightstand is recommended..!!!
