It is the best brush I have found, by far, and I have tried many.. my dog has very special fur. It is thin, short, very smooth, and without an undercoat, resulting in no brush being able to "remove" hair... the gloves did a little work but are not convenient for small dogs. Plus, the hair wouldn't come off them at all.

    DID NOT work:
The classic furminator with the metal "teeth"
    The silicone pet+me blue
    The silicone pet+me yellow

    DID work:
    FURminator Curry
    Rake Rubber Grooma Round
    Liveryman Deep Clean
    Kong Zoomgroom

The FURminator Curry has worked best for me and does a better job.. in combination with the rake rubber, it works wonders... I have noticed that when there is enough fur, the furminator removes more dead fur, while when it has thinned out (like in mid-summer), the rake rubber removes more..

By far the best comb I have ever used!!! It is perfect for short-haired and medium-haired breeds!!! It removes dead hair very well!! This, combined with the other furminator for the undercoat, and you will forget what a brush means!!! With regular combing, though, one or two times a week!!! It is totally worth it!!!
