I first bought a keyless chuck from a competitive company to use with my cordless drill. No matter how tightly I tightened it by hand, even with work gloves, the metal drill bit would end up coming out of the chuck. Since I bought this chuck with a key, tightening is now secure and I have a clean cut without the drill bit coming out. Very high-quality construction!
