The installation is inset, meaning it is recessed into the countertop and its rim protrudes. It is the easiest and most common installation method for kitchen sinks. Essentially, the weight of the sink is supported by the countertop itself, with some support points at the bottom for stabilization. Sealing is achieved with insulating material, such as silicone, placed around the perimeter of the opening, under the rim.
The main practical disadvantage of inset sinks is the rim, which makes cleaning difficult and prevents water that falls on the countertop from being wiped directly into the basin.

I have had it for about 2 months and I am very satisfied! Its size is very convenient, it is stainless steel and not granite so there is no worry about breaking from impacts or from sudden temperature changes. It has a special design to be silent and indeed it does not echo like older stainless steel sinks. Its finish is very good and it is the only stainless steel one I found in black color! At least at prices up to three times its price! I got it without the faucet base (there is a version with the faucet screwing onto the sink) although it is risky to place the faucet on the countertop due to the possibility of moisture getting through, but I wanted the extra space in the basin and I liked it aesthetically more. The only downside is the valve that comes with it, which as the plumber told me is bad, so we installed another one that has a stopper, but it's a minor issue. Now everything will depend on its durability over time! For now, easily 5 stars for its price and quality!
