Instant water heater is a type of water heater that heats water in real time. It heats only the water that passes through it at that moment. There is no storage tank for hot water. This has many advantages, such as energy saving, as only the water that is used is heated, as well as longer lifespan, as there is no water tank and accumulation of salts in the resistance and other components.

It operates with electricity and is single-phase.

The instant water heater has a cold water inlet pipe, which passes through the resistance, heats up, and comes out in the hot water outlet pipe. A necessary condition for the instant water heater to initially operate is that the pressure of the cold water inlet is not too low.

The temperature of the water is regulated by a thermostat, so as not to exceed a maximum value. The temperatures reached by the hot water are pre-set so that someone can use the hot water directly, without the need for mixing with cold water.

The maximum temperature that can be reached for hot water production is 75 °C, while the maximum water flow rate reaches up to 8 liters per minute. Indicatively, 38-42 °C degrees are the standard for shower use.

• It is small in size and does not take up much space.
• There is no energy loss, as only the water that is used is heated at that moment. Therefore, there is savings on the electricity bill. In a traditional water heater, the unused hot water is wasted.
• The hot water used in the instant water heater is used as is, without mixing with cold water, as in a traditional water heater. This also saves water, in addition to electricity.
• There is no need to wait for the water to heat up. As soon as we open the faucet, hot water starts running in a few seconds. A traditional water heater takes a few minutes, depending on its size.
• The hot water never runs out. As long as we have the faucet open, we will have hot water.
