Compared to the previous model, the extras it has are the separate buttons for sound and playback/forward, as well as the scroll wheel which lights up more or less and turns red when muted.
Otherwise, it still has anti-ghosting, key rollover, gaming mode, macros, and individual backlighting.

Did you find this review helpful?One year after the warranty expired (3 years), the two top rows stopped responding, all the function buttons print screen esc klp and all the number buttons except for backspace. If you search the forums, you will find others with the same issue. They just do it to sell new ones. The V3 came out. Because I use Chroma Applications for setup, unfortunately, I will have to go back to Razer. I hope the next one breaks within the warranty or not at all. We won't discuss how I wouldn't spend over 100€ on a Razer keyboard due to low reliability and poor construction quality. So, a 70€ one every 3-5 years for a complete keyboard. The lights work fine. I also have a Razer Naga mouse and I have set shortcuts like ESC, Print Screen, F11, Volume Up Down, and mute. Tragic. Razer products are not what they used to be, lasting for a decade. I wasn't playing like a paralyzed teenager. Moderate use, and the ones that "broke" (non-responsive) are some of the most unused keys.

If you are used to mechanical keyboards like me, it may feel a bit strange at first but you get used to it. It has a nice clicky sound, much softer than the blue switches I used to have but still pleasant to hear. The resting pad is very nice and soft. I'm not sure if I would recommend it for its price. If you are looking for something more affordable, it's worth checking out the motospeed ck 103 - 104, they are very satisfying.
--- One negative for gamers who might do the same as me --- I was used to having the key slightly pressed and lightly activating it with mechanical keyboards (without actually hearing the sound of the mechanical keyboard), this doesn't happen with this specific keyboard

I bought the keyboard for typing and programming. I had tried the first version on a friend of mine and noticed the low profile of the keys that greatly helps in typing. Well, good evening, the keyboard is A R R O S T O. Coming from a 10 euro rgb, due to imminent teleworking, I decided to spend it on the razer ornata v2. You can do wonders with the software, the stability and the build quality are evident from the first moment. It also has immediate response and a nice clicky sound, the wrist support also seems to be of very good quality leather. I would say that overall it is a bit tall as a keyboard, but this doesn't bother, it's something that you get used to quickly.
Now, about the price, 110, for such a good keyboard with a two-year manufacturer's warranty, it remains a lot of money. I think if it played at 80 euros it would be a sweet spot and the factory wouldn't be able to keep up with production. Let's say it lasts you 3-4 years, if you take care of it, you will have made a very good investment, then you move on to the next one because you will be bored.
It would also be nice for razer to be able to buy separate wristrests in various designs and colors, e.g. tartan like barbour's, to personalize as you wish, but also of course because when something becomes completely kitsch it enters the realm of classic!

The razer once again produced an awesome keyboard!! So, I had the first ornata chroma keyboard for 4 years and after a spill (meaning coffee), it broke and I bought the ornata v2. Its lighting is the best I can say compared to all the razer keyboards because it is intense and I don't think any other razer keyboard has it. (Unless I'm mistaken. The click of the keys is satisfactory and sounds really nice, but it's not mechanical. Through the razer synapse, you can make many changes to the colors as well as the shortcuts of the keys. The scroll wheel is satisfactory for media because it saves space in the key shortcuts. The wrist rest is sturdy and beautiful, but over time or during summer, if not taken care of, it can create a problem with the leather. When the keyboard is standing, it has 2 flat clips on the left and 2 on the right side, so it's not easy to break like the ornata chroma that has only 1. Unless you hit it with your fists (I don't recommend it), the keyboard is a gem and needs attention not to drink water/coffee or anything above it, because if it falls, 90% chance it will damage either the key sequence or a key itself. As for cleaning, it requires a little patience because it's not mechanical and doesn't come off easily, but don't worry if you remove them. The best way to clean the keys is to soak them in warm water for 2-3 hours and then let them dry well. The keyboard can be cleaned with a very small brush, like a comb or a trimmer. For gaming, I got used to the ornata chroma and of course, the ornata v2 is better thanks to the click of the buttons. I highly recommend it for purchase because its price is perfect for this amazing keyboard.
