The product description says that the glass is safety glass, but I don't think it is that strong and durable as they have a thin thickness. I thought that with the description of safety glass, it would be thicker glass... The good thing is that when you use one eye, you can remove one cover and while cooking on the other side, you can touch ingredients or other cooking utensils, or even use it as a cutting board! Anyway, it does its job well as a product for what it promises. The glass surfaces rest on four silicone legs each. Besides protection against impacts and scratches, it really beautifies the kitchen!!! Overall, it's worth its money.
