Description

The Winix ZERO Compact is a small yet powerful air purifier with a CADR rating of 250 m3/h. It is suitable for bedrooms and small to medium-sized spaces, 

It features 4 stages of air purification with a pre-filter and True Hepa and Activated Carbon filters. Additionally, it includes the innovative Plasma Wave technology, which neutralizes viruses and bacteria in our indoor environment without releasing health-hazardous OZONE.

4 stages of air purification

  • STAGE 1 - PREFILTER: The prefilter captures large particles visible to the naked eye such as pet and human hair, larger dust particles, lint, etc. It is washable and should be checked and cleaned at least once every 1-2 months. It depends on whether we have pets or fluffy objects in our space.
  • STAGE 2 - TRUE HEPA FILTER: The HEPA filter captures very small particles that exist but are not visible to the naked eye. These include dust, allergens, mold spores, viruses, bacteria, pollen, particles from household materials and furniture, from pets, from humans, etc.
  • STAGE 3 - ACTIVATED CARBON FILTER: The Activated Carbon Filter absorbs toxic gaseous pollutants and odors that come from cigarette and fireplace smoke, exhaust fumes, smog, chemicals, cooking, pets, etc.
  • STAGE 4 - PLASMAWAVE TECHNOLOGY: The innovative PlasmaWave technology creates hydroxyls that neutralize viruses, bacteria, chemicals, and odors at a molecular level. PlasmaWave does not produce ozone unlike other device technologies such as ionization and UV lamps that release ozone.

    I have it since yesterday. It worked for a few hours in a room of about 15 square meters with closed windows. It doesn't clean odors, I didn't feel a difference in air quality, but I could breathe freely, I have allergies to dust and my nose is almost always stuffy. So it works, but it would be nice if it also collected odors.

    I mainly have it in my bedroom and I have noticed a significant difference when I have it open in the room. Initially, I stopped sneezing constantly, and I feel that the air is cleaner in terms of odors. The only negative is that if you have it on for many hours, it makes the room dry, but this also applies to dehumidifiers, so I use it for specific hours. It's worth its money, even though I bought it with a gift voucher redemption of 80 euros and got it for 70 euros instead of 150

    Used for a 55m² room for 2 years. You can really feel the air being cleaner and it creates a gentle breeze when you stand close to it. It is not bulky and takes up minimal space.
    Simple sturdy construction with hard plastics and a touch screen on the top. There is no air quality display, only 3 color indicators: blue for clean, orange for moderate, and red for bad air.
    For air flow, it has manual operation with 3 levels or automatic. In automatic mode, it responds immediately when it detects smoke or particles. It makes a loud noise when running at full power. It also has a night mode.
    It has a plasma function which you can deactivate, I don't know if it is effective or even measurable.
    To access the filter, you unscrew the white frame at the bottom. The filter is not for odors and don't expect it to collect floating dust particles.

    I bought it for Christmas for the children's room (13.5 m2). The goal, besides what is mentioned, was to have a sense of clean air in the room and especially to eliminate any odors, mainly those from fireplaces during the night hours (Athens area). The room is generally well-ventilated (high ceiling) and airy.
    Regarding the functions, everything seems to be working correctly as stated by the manufacturer. However, there is no sense of clean atmosphere whatsoever, and most importantly, it is NOT effective at all in eliminating odors.
    I have had an old good Philips Naturis 100 for many years (23 years), and I can say that it is clearly more effective compared to the Winix Zero Compact.

    I paid 200 € for a smaller cleaner due to lack of space, but I made a mistake. It's not worth it, better to get the larger one. I didn't feel any difference in my space, and I live in an area where air pollution is 350% above the limits for PM2.5 and PM10 particles. It's a relatively nice small device, but construction-wise, it's overly simple for its price

    I have it in my kitchen 55 square meters and I am satisfied with its performance, very good construction and with a top filter that will be on the market for years. Also, the plasma wave technology is the icing on the cake. At 150 euros, I don't think you will find anything better with so many certifications
