This machine does not make espresso. It makes a coffee that you can't call French but not espresso either.
Initially, I tried the capsules that were inside...
I won't even discuss the large capsules from Grand Lungo and above...they are undrinkable...
(I want to know who thought of making a coffee maker for a coffee pot...after so many years and so many professional machines, the coffee companies must know something)
I will talk about the single and double espresso. The single one, only the Diavolito is somewhat drinkable. Out of the doubles, which have minimal variety, I threw away the two as soon as I tried them and the other two were simply uninteresting. The centrifugal techniques have no meaning or substance and ruin the crema...it's probably a trick to sell to the clueless (and I fell for it, don't misunderstand me).
The crema is like badly beaten Nescafe after 5 minutes (and I'm being generous).
I consider the opening and closing for capsule insertion to be excessive and poorly designed.
I even watched videos to see if I was doing something wrong. I won't even discuss the advertisements and sponsored videos from YouTubers...at least they have financial benefits from those, but they are misleading for what I tried!
I want to say that this is my personal opinion. I may be peculiar because I was a barista, bartender, and bar manager for 15 years.
Nevertheless, I have to say that the Pixie Titanium was on the counter for many years and I am very satisfied with what it offers! It's definitely not the best coffee, but it is very decent and value for money!
Seeing the Vertuo Next, I was particularly excited, but the excitement didn't last long and I gave the Pixie to my family!
I will give it a chance until I finish the capsules I bought (the ones that are drinkable) and then I see myself going back to classic Nespresso!
Everything is good with this specific machine. It makes good coffee, heats up very quickly, and is easy to operate.
The downsides for me are the noise, although it's not as bad as some reviews I've seen. And the second one is that I haven't been able to connect it to WiFi yet, and I can't figure out if it's a problem or if I'm doing something wrong. Even though I consider myself tech-savvy, I think it should be even simpler because it might confuse older people.
The taste of the coffee is nice, but the machine doesn't do the job properly when it comes to 230 ml capsules, it throws them quite far away from the machine. Fortunately, I spoke with the company and they replaced the machine, and now it's perfect, it doesn't throw a single drop.
I have it since May 10th. Excellent foam, nice coffee, and now in large quantities
