For my 6-year-old child, I consider it quite difficult to use. At first, I also struggled a bit, but after getting the hang of it, we made various things like snowmen, green leaves, and the easiest and most beautiful Easter bunnies. I let the child put in and take out the threads by pressing the corresponding buttons, and when there is a large surface, I give them the 3D pen to fill it in. It is very important that it came with threads in 12 different colors, while others have only 3 or none at all. And they are actually more expensive than the one I bought.
I had broken a plastic support in another toy and I made a similar one (not exactly the same, of course), but it did the job. The nozzle reaches a high temperature (180 to 210 C), but not enough to burn you, as long as you don't hold it for more than 1-2 seconds. Because it retains a portion of the previous thread inside, it initially releases the residue that remains in the 3D pen and then releases what we have put in. You will need to remove the residue from the nozzle, so you can either use your fingers or a tissue or soft cloth.
We find various constructions on YouTube and make them. Some with success, others with less. Along the way, we will try to make something more difficult and impressive, like a butterfly shown on the box or a dragon. I read in comments about similar 3D pens that they get clogged and stop working afterwards. It hasn't clogged at all so far, and I hope it continues like that. However, it requires caution when changing threads. You will have to wait for the previous one to come out completely. Also, once it comes out, it should be cut with scissors to regain its original cylindrical shape, otherwise it won't fit into the slot. It is mentioned in the instructions for use.
The only negative thing I found, and that's why I didn't give it a 5, is that the power cord is short and you either have to work near an outlet or use a power strip with an extension cord. I do my work with an extension cord, but then I have to put it away.
