It worked fine on a 2.5-inch SSD. It didn't work on a 3.5-inch HDD that was connected. Possibly due to power supply, but I didn't bother further

I realized that the power supply voltage from a USB port was not enough for it. So, I got a "USB splitter cable" where one end had a female USB (like the port on the PC), while the other end branched into two male USBs, which I connected to two USB ports on my PC. I connected the provided adapter cable to the female end of the USB splitter. With this connection, the hard drive I connected was accessed immediately, as the adapter was powered by two USB sources.

The disk is not the problem because I tested it on an old SATA to USB enclosure and Windows read it correctly. But when I connect it with this specific adapter, the file explorer crashes.
