I RETURN WITH A NEW REVIEW 10 MONTHS LATER
Both pieces I bought stopped working after a year because the contact between the charger and the product was damaged by moisture in one, and the cable before the plug was damaged in the other, no longer providing power to the lamp's batteries... I personally wouldn't buy it again.
The product has good construction for the price of 5-6 €.
However, it requires some attention for the purpose you are buying it for.
I needed it to cover 2 dark spots in the garden.
Unfortunately, it is not designed for this purpose as it does not have a light sensor, which means you have to manually turn it on and off. Why doesn't it have a light sensor? Because the packaging states that its batteries can withstand 500 recharges. This means that if it automatically turned on and off, it would be useless in a year and a half.
Therefore, the product was mainly made to charge in standby mode and be used only when needed (e.g. power outage or lighting an entrance area that is not frequently used). It has good light in both low and high settings... I recommend it as an auxiliary lamp in areas without electricity or in points used for specific purposes, but definitely not as a supplemental product for space security.
Very good for the use I wanted it for. That is: I charge it with the panel (it has a very long cable) and with the switch off, so I can use it when I need it (it has two brightness options Low & Hi) From a test I did (first I charged it, removed the power supply, and left it off) after 10 days I turned it on to Hi and left it on until it went out. It lasted 3.5 hours!
Not worth it. Buy something else instead. No durability over time. And for as long as it worked, the first half hour it only worked on the high setting, then it just flickered
I bought 4 bulbs 2 years ago. Their performance is good for 2-4 hours and then it decreases. The construction is lightweight, slightly fake. Also, I couldn't charge my phone, even though it's supposed to work as a charger. I highly recommend it for its value and overall performance
If you use it somewhere that doesn't get wet, then it's okay. Its light is satisfactory and lasts for several hours. It doesn't have a day-night sensor, but I knew that, and you have to remember to turn it off in the morning, otherwise its battery doesn't manage to charge. I put it outside on a pergola, it rained heavily for an hour, and the lamp turned into an aquarium!! Of course, with so much water inside the glass, its performance was so poor even when I removed most of the water that I threw it away.
I bought 2 because I had a kiosk and it seemed like a perfect idea to light it up. Unfortunately, after a few rains, the light started to last very little, even on the sunniest days. Now, after a few months, the light lasts only seconds. It's a shame because it was exactly what I needed.
Two days in the sun, one day outside, I turned it on and it only lasted for an hour and a half. The photo is taken after two hours and it is on the low scale and shines like a candle. The product is only for emergency use or somewhere that is very dark. If anything changes, I will write it to you
The panels literally need to see the sun for an hour. However, they still don't last long. Of course, for the job I needed it for, it wasn't ultimately suitable. I suppose for a short time in a camping trip, it wouldn't be bad!
Charges from the sun, a bit slow but okay.
Long lighting duration with very strong light, 4 hours, beyond expectations... after that, it's dim in the morning.
Good construction.
I had a charger that charges them and they are perfect.
Very good construction with very powerful light. When it is fully charged and you have it on the low setting, it can last all night, that is, 6-7 hours, while on the high setting only 1-2 hours.
Two were bought last year, hung them under the balcony in the yard and left them there. The truth is that they are beautiful and the lighting is as much as needed on the small staircase, bright on the big one. We left them open on the low staircase from 9:30 when it got dark until 11:30 when the company left and the lighting was fine.
However, I tried to turn them on one beautiful summer evening this year and the battery no longer works. Although it charges all day, as soon as the sun sets, even the charging indicator light goes out. BUT... the panels are still alive. They went through a winter with rain, snow, and ice and didn't suffer any damage. With the intention to experiment, I cut the DC barrel, put a micro USB on them, and now they permanently charge two Reolink Argus 2 camera batteries. Slower than the company's charger, of course, but as long as they continue to charge, no one cares. If I had bought the company's solar panel, I would have paid €60. With €19.70 (last year's price, this year it's half), I gained two panels.
By giving an additional €1 for a USB-A to DC 5.5x2.1mm cable (something like this https://www.skroutz.gr/s/24015401/Powertech-USB-2-0-Cable-USB-A-male-DC-5-5x2-1mm-Μαύρο-1-5m-CAB-U120.html), the lamp can also be used to illuminate a space in the house by connecting it to a power bank in case of a power outage, or (if the battery is working) to charge it when there is no sun.
The truth is that if I didn't have the ability to make these modifications, the lamp would have received two stars. For as long as it lasted, it was good but it didn't have longevity. I didn't like that it doesn't turn on when it gets dark, but that's purely my fault because I didn't notice that the description says it doesn't have a photocell. Another downside is that there is no indication that it has fully charged. It only has a red light that turns on when it receives power and goes off when it doesn't.
I bought 2 last week, fantastic, it turns night into day, it just took me a few days to figure out how to charge it. You take it outside in the sun with the lamp connected to the panel, and you see when it starts charging the light bulb lights up, if it doesn't light up it's not charging, the incredible discovery is that if you have a DEI column nearby it charges from that light too. I put one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom, and it's a matter of habit now. Fantastic lamp.
There is nothing else for this money, very good light for emergency or camping, although it feels a bit cheaply made, it illuminates well and its battery lasts on the weak setting. Of course, for the price, get 2-3 so you have extras. The panel it comes with charges slowly and it also has a radio with solar input. The only small downside is that it doesn't have a USB to charge it with electricity or a power bank while camping
Very good for its price. It lasts several hours on the high setting. And even more on the low setting. In an 8x4x2.50 meter warehouse, it lights it up perfectly.
Quite affordable, powerful light to cover a room. I already used it when the power went out due to bad weather, and the efficiency was quite satisfactory! It also has a detachable small lamp that takes battery from the main lamp. It can also charge a mobile phone from the panel. It has three different slots for a mobile phone! I will definitely reorder for every room in the house!
Well, I read the reviews and bought 4 of them. They illuminate very intensely at the beginning, but their performance quickly drops. Also, it is very annoying that they do not have a light sensor and you have to turn them off in the morning. Wall-mounted wall spotlights are a thousand times better, and they cost less.
