A new metal cover houses three powerful axial technology fans that use durable double ball bearings. The fan rotation has been optimized for reduced turbulence and the stop function brings the three fans to a stop at low temperatures. Below, a thick heatsink keeps the thermals under tight control.
Axial technology fan design, with three fans working together to meet the thermal requirements of NVIDIA's new high octane design. The fans are based on double ball bearings to ensure stable performance and increased lifespan compared to sleeve bearings and other types of bearings.
The two side fans rotate counterclockwise to reduce turbulence. To eliminate unnecessary noise, a stop function stops all fans when the temperature drops below 50 degrees and power consumption is low.
With MaxContact technology to polish the surface of the heat sink and improve smoothness at a microscopic level. The additional flatness allows for better contact with the matrix for improved heat transfer.
The bottom side of the card reveals further improvements. The majority of the back is covered with a protective metal plate that features a visibly wide opening. The airflow allows the hot air to escape towards the frame fans instead of being recycled back into the cooler. Stainless steel is used for the I/O bracket to protect the ports and provide a more secure base. A conveniently placed Dual Bios switch allows for customization of the card's default performance profile without the need for software.
The RGB logo can be customized to display a range of aesthetic and functional effects and also synchronize with other ASUS components to allow for uniform lighting. An 8-pin connector meets the power requirements of the GeForce RTX 3060, and LED indicators light up if the power connectors are not properly connected.

Coming from a Gigabyte 2060, I am shocked by this little monster!! In every aspect...
Firstly, the card is completely silent, to the point where you actually think it's not working during gameplay..
The temperature while playing Warzone these days in December did not exceed 61 degrees with everything set to Ultra and RTX on at 1440p!! I'm looking forward to seeing temperatures in the summer, although I don't believe there will be a big difference! Also, with the above settings in Warzone and with a Ryzen 7 2700 CPU and 32GB RAM, with everything set to Ultra and DLSS on in Quality, the card consistently reaches 105-110 FPS, whereas with the 2060 I was getting around 70 FPS but with many settings on Low! So, owners of 3700x processors and above will definitely see an additional 20/30 FPS in this particular game!!
The card fit comfortably in the Be Quiet 500DX, but overall it is bulky, so check the dimensions before investing..
