However you use it, the 16-inch ring offers your images the signature attractive, soft, almost shadowless quality of light with interesting catchlights that is the hallmark of this accessory. The effect is particularly pronounced when shooting through the open center with your smartphone (via the included adapter) or DSLR.
The light is adjustable from 0 to 100% to save you the hassle of front-to-back adjustments to achieve the right light intensity. The color is also variable, from 2700 to 6500K or anywhere in between to match other lighting, environmental lighting conditions, or just for creative expression. The Halo 16C has a high CRI of 95 and TLCI of 93, indicating high color accuracy. An advanced feature of the ring is the RGB color control, which allows you to create custom hues from a 360-degree color wheel. The Halo 16C features a 5/8" receiver for mounting on a stand and comes with a smartphone bracket and AC adapter.
