It does exactly what it says and connects perfectly with Apple's HomeKit. Just to connect to HomeKit while you are away from home, you need a HomePod or Apple TV. Otherwise, the Aqara app works just fine.
For starters, baby camera (with white noise and lullabies) and later smart home and security home with ZigBee modules. It simply does it all at the right price. If you had a baby, this camera is an investment for the future. But even without a baby, it's still worth it!
I was impressed with its size, as I used to own a Xiaomi camera and this particular camera is half the size compared to Xiaomi cameras.
I bought it solely because I want to create an Apple HomeKit, and it is one of the few cameras I found in Greece that has a connection with Apple HomeKit security.
The price is a bit steep, but it's okay.
The connection with Apple HomeKit was established in 10 seconds without any issues.
What bothered me is that as a camera, it doesn't rotate, but its lens covers a huge field of view.
It accepts a CD card for video storage, but with Apple HomeKit and a €1 subscription for iCloud Plus, you can have your recordings encrypted by Apple.

Several times during the day it sends me offline messages and in 2 to 5 minutes it automatically goes back online! I don't know why it does that even though I have updated it. Again, I say that you get what you pay for, so it's great for informing me in case of someone's presence when I'm not at home.
I have been using it for 2 years, 24/7. The best camera on the market by far.
- The main advantage is the wide-angle lens, which allows you to place it in a corner and cover the entire room. So you don't have to worry if something goes out of its field of view.
- The second advantage is that it functions as a HUB, so you can connect it to other Xiaomi products and create scenarios. It has many settings through the Mi Home app to create any scenarios you want. For example, the camera detects motion or a sensor, and triggers an alarm or turns on lights while sending you a notification.
- Impeccable FullHD image quality day and night. At night, it covers up to 6-7m distance with a clear image. If there is some light in the area, it can capture even further than 7m. It streams in FullHD or SD. For FullHD, you will need a VDSL for better streaming results. You will need at least a 32GB microSD to store the last 2 days in memory. The larger the microSD, the larger the file size you will have.
IMPORTANT: Unlike other Xiaomi devices, it connects to the China server, which may cause some insecurity for those who feel uneasy.
Out of all the Xiaomi cameras I have purchased (I have bought several models), this one is by far the fastest in terms of connection and space issues... Flawless... Other Xiaomi models often have problems.
