I use it after I scrape the surface well first. It definitely requires 2 hands and I'm talking about the elixir nail polish, not the professional one. It definitely helps but it doesn't work miracles, sometimes after using it I also apply acetone with aluminum foil for a while and it comes off just fine. I will buy it again until I find something better.
Edit: I'm coming back after a while because I found a way to make it work better. Initially, I scrape the surface of the painted nail with a file to remove the top coat. Then I apply the product and leave it for about ten minutes. Then I file again (careful not to damage the nail). The nail polish comes off easily and doesn't leave any damage. I did the above with a professional black nail polish. It worked very well.
I have to apply 100 coats for the color to break and still it doesn't break well. If you use a wheel, it helps a bit, but if you use a nail pusher, you will regret it. DO NOT BUY IT, you will regret it...!!
Perhaps this particular one was broken... As a stick, it took much more time to remove the semi-permanent and in the end it didn't come out completely. I wouldn't buy it again. A thousand times to the manicurist
I bought it because the process of wrapping each finger with aluminum foil and acetone seemed like a big hassle, but in the end, I went back to doing it that way. It's not that it doesn't do any work, it just takes 5 repetitions to say that it cleaned the nail. I do exactly what the instructions say, I file the nail first to remove the top coat, but it still can't remove the gel polish. If it touches the skin or cuticles, it causes a burn. Overall, in my opinion, it's not worth the trouble.
Excellent product. It removes the semi-permanent with ease. The only thing you need to do first is file the surface of the nails. In a few minutes, the polish swells and breaks. It is removed with a special tool. It has solved my problems.
(Amateur use) I, who used it on a semi-permanent manicure of the same company, after filing it, it lasted for 5-6 days without me having to touch it up. However, I believe it could be more affordable, of course.
It solved my hands, I put both ruber base and it was difficult to remove the semi-permanent, I don't even file my nails, it comes off in three minutes with one layer
It is a very convenient product! After filing with the buffer the top coat, I apply a full stroke, wait about 10 minutes, "scrape" with the pusher, and apply more for another 10 minutes and do the same, and then remove any excess with the buffer
The product is FINE! Those of you who say it didn't work probably didn't file the surface enough. Just like with acetone, it needs filing of the top and a little bit of color, not just buffing, otherwise nothing will come out. I think the product also takes less time compared to acetone with cotton balls and stories!
The effectiveness is so-so. I file my nails very well and then apply 2 coats. Sometimes it peels off and sometimes it doesn't do anything, for example on the edges. However, I would buy it again, it definitely gives you an extra convenience
It does what it says, as long as the top coat is well filed first. It may require 2-3 repetitions. Personally, I find the process much more pleasant than with acetone, as it has a much milder scent
I bought the product after reading good reviews about its use because I wanted to do my own semi-permanent removal. I followed all the advice in the comments, filed the surface of my nails, applied two to three coats, and waited for ten minutes. The semi-permanent polish wouldn't come off at all. If we have to empty the entire bottle for one use, buy a wheel to make it easier to remove, or I don't know what else, it's better to pay a professional to remove it for us.
To me, guys, with a little filing before application, it easily removes the semi-permanent nail polish. I can apply two coats, but it comes off quickly without any effort or time! It doesn't even burn your nails at all! And it lasted a longggg time, I bought two more now!! For its price, it's exceptional, I believe, and fast
As the Windex makes the windows invisible, this one also makes the semi-permanent disappear. It really does nothing, it takes at least 4-5 applications within 10 minutes, very very good filing. For me, it's better to spend 5-6 euros more to get a cheap wheel instead of this.
The result doesn't come as easily as it promises, but I prefer it to the mess with aluminum foil... The top needs a good sanding and it needs AT LEAST 2 applications with a 10-minute time interval between them. Usually, it also needs a third layer and of course, buffing at the end to remove the residue.
I would prefer it to be more economical because you need a large quantity each time and it runs out quickly.
Also, be careful not to come into contact with the skin, the first time I got filled with blisters that were incredibly painful!!! (In the photos, you can see the result after two layers of the material...)
The semi-permanent polish doesn't come off so quickly, you need to apply a lot on the nail for it to come off and it finishes quickly.
I was reading the comments when I made the first application. I was expecting to be disappointed, but in my case it worked. I had two layers of semi-permanent polish and after scraping the top, I applied the product with two thick layers. After 5 minutes, it started peeling off. Maybe with more layers of gel, it would require a little more patience.
After filing the nail, it takes several layers for the semi-permanent to "lift". With each push of the tool, it requires another layer on top. It is not particularly user-friendly.
As the company states in the application videos, the product needs to be applied on a filed nail in order for the material to penetrate the semi-permanent. The liquid is very effective and requires caution! I accidentally got a drop on my finger without realizing it and it started to burn, causing a small injury. It took several applications to completely remove it since I had a hard base coat. Overall, I would buy it again because it saves you the hassle of using aluminum foil
With this product, I no longer hurt my nails. It doesn't do its job as advertised, but it removes satisfactorily and then whatever is left is fixed with a file.
In no case does it work with two applications. It's like it's frozen. My nails got damaged, better to use aluminum foil with acetone.
While I filed the top with the file. And I applied the product twice after about half an hour, it simply softened and needed to be filed again.. mediocre.. unless I am not using it correctly..
I use products from elixir, so I also bought the magic remover. Indeed, it comes off with 2 layers, but after about 1 month it completely dried out even though I didn't use it much. I will buy it again and if the same thing happens, I will stick to the traditional wrapping with aluminum foil
Yes and no. Initially, the top needs a good filing either with a file or a buffer. Also, two coats are not enough. It needs several coats depending on the layers you have applied during painting. Overall, it does its job if you don't want to use aluminum foil. It doesn't have a professional result. Mine has small bumps in its composition, I don't know if it should be like that or if it has been maintained incorrectly. In conclusion, as a concept, it is very good but it has mediocre performance.
I bought the product because I heard good things about it. And indeed, when I tried to remove it with 2-3 layers, it came off. However, I am very disappointed by the fact that after one use, on the second time I tried to use the product again, it had dried up completely inside. I don't understand the reason, as the lid was properly closed and it was at room temperature. Honestly, I wasted my money for nothing!
I faithfully followed the instructions for use.
I tried to remove another brand's semi-permanent (not elixir) but I applied several layers.
It gave me a hard time.
upd: I tried it on semi-permanent polish that was "swollen" from swimming in the sea for about 15 days, and it came off by applying a thick layer.
It does what it promises. With two layers, with a 2-minute interval between them, it removed my semi-permanent polish with minimal effort.
Simply perfect! For those who are lazy/afraid/unable to do the process of removing semi-permanent. Fast, simple, effective!

The 4 stars because if it accidentally touches the skin, it burns quite a bit
