I bought them in early 2023 (in A3 160HP). The tires compared to the same company's winter ones have a lot of rolling noise, especially in wet conditions, while you would expect the opposite. The fuel consumption is about 1 liter more than the winter ones (205 55 16) per 100 km. I definitely would not buy them again.

Initially, I was torn between Vredestein Ultrac, Uniroyal 5, and Michelin Pilot Sport 4. I ended up rejecting the latter two due to their price, but I will make sure to try them out in my next change. I am using them on a Subaru Legacy, a 2-liter, 165 horsepower vehicle. I have driven approximately 2000 kilometers. It is important to mention that the car is all-wheel drive with Subaru's symmetrical system. It weighs almost 1450 kilograms, so we are talking about a relatively heavy all-wheel drive vehicle with good factory grip. In that regard, I pushed the car to 220 kilometers per hour and the tire gave me such confidence that I believe even at 300 kilometers per hour, it would go without any issues. It is incredibly quiet, not more so than the Uniroyal 3 tires that the car had even after 7 YEARS of use by the previous owner. That is why my second choice was to put on the Uniroyal 5 tires. I also have them on my Citroen Xsara 1.4 with 75 horsepower, and they are amazing. In the end, Vredestein won me over, and I believe it is justified by the reviews from Americans and English people on YouTube.
Now, regarding dry conditions, in sharp turns and corners, it is not an exaggeration to say that the car enters without any hesitation whatsoever. I don't know if it's because of its all-wheel drive, but with the previous tires, I wouldn't dare to enter. Its tread provides absolute functionality to the brakes, allowing them to be fully utilized.
As for wet road conditions, I will say the following: although it has an "A" rating, I don't believe it is better than the Uniroyal tires when it comes to braking, but it is on par when it comes to rolling. Even if you are driving at 180 kilometers per hour in the rain, it will never lose control. I think no other tire can match the Uniroyal tires in terms of their braking performance in the rain, even though it should be noted that they are specifically designed for wet conditions and have a softer tread. This does not mean that the Vredestein tires are not top-notch. I think I've said it all regarding the rain.
Although I have driven it in the snow without chains or snow covers, I cannot give an objective opinion because the car has all-wheel drive, so it would be futile for rear-wheel drive vehicles. It also performs well in muddy conditions without much difficulty.
It is very attractive and does not bulge on the sides. I even hit a large pothole and didn't feel a thing. After washing it with a gel shine, it looks perfect, like new.
It is a touring tire, which means it reaches operating temperature more easily than a comparable sport tire like the Pilot Sport 4. However, I still cannot tell when it reaches operating temperature in my car. So, in the first quarter of my drive, I increase the speed and go at 120 kilometers per hour to be sure.
Lastly, its expected lifespan is 35,000 to 40,000 kilometers or 4 to 5 years. This, of course, depends on usage and driving style.
In conclusion, it is perhaps the most honest and value-for-money tire currently available in the market that does it all. Grip, economy, safety, braking!
Edit: After one year of ownership and 5000 kilometers, I can say that the tire takes a while to warm up, especially during the winter months

Did you find this review helpful?Worn on a golf v 170ps for 4+ years, quite good on dry, average to good on wet (with temperatures of 8c and below, it doesn't provide much confidence), very good on the highway although after about 170km/h you feel like you need to hold the steering wheel with both hands, excellent 10 with a tone I give to it on rough roads with potholes, gravel roads, nothing happens, no tearing, no punctures, no clattering ever during the whole time I wear them with really hard use, I believe it is a good sport touring tire but not for every sport, I believe it would fit better on larger and heavier cars like insignia, bmw3 and above or SUVs.

Did you find this review helpful?Awesome tire in all aspects, especially in wet conditions. It provides immediate response on the steering wheel, no play in potholes, and it is quiet compared to the Goodyear f1 asymmetric! It also has rim protection on the curbs. And of course, I am referring to the 2021 Ultrac, not the older version!
